I've started looking on and off for a dress for my wedding day. There are a lot of fab dresses out there that I'd be happy to wear on my special day. But I have a problem.

I'm babyfaced. As in I look at least half a decade younger than I actually am (I'm 23). As in I have a ridiculously round face and big eyes. As in I started wearing fake glasses so people would stop asking me what grade I was in or saying "Oh, I thought you were, like, 16!"

So my question is this: what can I wear on my big day that won't leave me looking like a little kid playing dress-up?

I think staying away from ballgowns and A-lines and choosing instead a fit and flare is your best bet for not looking like a little girl. Also going for a more modern dress without a lot of bling or lace would probably look more mature too.

I think that the key is both the shape of the dress (something more fitted and less "princess") as well as the make-up and hairstyle you pick. It can definitely be done!

Im 23 as well and have a young face i found an a-line that i liked i would go for more of a traditional sexy look but i do agree with SB no ball gowns i tried one on and i looked like i was playing dress up in my moms closet it just over powers your features and makes the dress wear you not you wearing the dress

I think a good makeup artist could work wonders.

Why not get your makeup professionally done before going and trying on dresses?

Lastly, don't let the crap that people say get to you. I'm 24, and some woman had the balls to tell me I was too young to get married. I wanted to tell her she was too old to be making stupid ass comments like that.

I think a fit and flare/trumpet would look awesome. Maybe some lace, I just feel like it looks very elegant.

Definitely stay away from the poof! The big ballgowns and anything "princessy" is going to make you look a lot younger. Fit and flare, Mermaid and perhaps some of the A-Lines. I wouldn't recommend the sheaths either. But also what PP said, do a make up test before and see how that works out for you.
