Things from the weekend

1-I am geeked about my book purchases this weekend.  I got a 2nd hand copy of a graphic novel version of L. Frank Baum's "The Life and Adventures of Santa Clause",  a Moby Dick pop up book that is GORGEOUS (see:  http://www.bookmine.com/images/155054.jpg) and a cheap copy of "If you Give a Pig a Pancake"

2-I don't know what is wrong w/ the computers today--someone in IT must have my number because at 11something this morning, I have already re-booted the most used of the 3 computers I've touched this morning 5 times.

3-I'm still mulling over business-y names and feeling uber-paranoid that I'm going to pick a name and then discover that it's a double entendre or that it's owned by Disney or something.  I think that I'm picking this to be paranoid about because it seems a lot less daunting than going through the state Sci. Curriculum standards and coding all of my activities for which they fulfil and encompass (which I'm procrastinating on because I"m ALMOST sure these are due to be updated again--as soon as I finish, it'll be obsolete)

4-So, this weekend, @ playgroup, my child was one of several kids who was into/next to a wading pool.  She wasn't in a swimsuit, but she doesn't like her clothes wet and was barefoot and not hurting anything, no biggie.
She and another child started doing tug-o-war over a toy.  (I'm not 100% on who started it...I think Buffy had the toy first and the other kid was taking it but it could have been the other way).  Other kid's mom said "Kid, give Buffy that toy".
So he let go.
And there was a slow motion moment where my child flew backwards and landed flat on her ass in the middle of a wading pool.  (I think she caught me trying not to laugh to loud @ her)  She was PISSED and wet and seems to be holding a grudge against the other kid
