Cards and Pockets Samples and Other Questions

Hi All!

I am starting to consider using C&P for invitations. Has anyone ordered any of the sample packs that would want to pass them on? (Totally willing to compensate! I just thought it'd save some money to check with you guys.)

Also, where do you get the template for the actual invitations/monogram/etc?

And where do you print?

I'm not sure why I'm so clueless with this - any help appreciated!

I have an older kit of samples (fall 2010 maybe?)  that are missing a few that I need.  But I could get them to you.

You can get templates that are Word format from the c&p website.  I have some photoshop ones I can send along (I also sent them to sari).

I don't have samples from C&P but that sounds like a good place to start. I'm using Paper and More, and I ordered just a few sample sheets from them in the colors I wanted to look at.

I think Etsy would be a good place to look for templates and graphics- but it depends what you want. For example, I'm not really using a template because I'm going to use rubber stamps to put designs on my invites; the text part of my invite I'm just designing using microsoft publisher. You can also find free templates by googling.

I think kinko's or a similar place is good for printing invites. I'll probably print mine using our home printer just because it's easier.

I just ordered my paper from paperpresentation.com a couple weeks ago - they were the only site that had my colors or I would have probably gone with C&P.  The cardstock is really high quality and I'm happy with it so far!  They also have a ton of different shapes and designs for card pockets.  They're a little more expensive than C&P but very cool looking!   I made our template in Photoshop.  You can get a 30 day free trial if you don't already have it.  It wasn't too hard to use once you start playing with it and use youtube tutorials for anything you can't figure out.  Good luck!

MD - Can you send me the photoshop templates?

I figured out how to order individual swatches and such - I spent about $18 so I'm excited to see the quality of the samples! Thanks everyone!

Hey there Lindsay...we used C&P for our pocket folds and printing.  We absolutely love the way they came out.  Sumer even showed them (finished with our belly band and embossing to some clients and 2 of them want to copy almost exactly what we did).  I love the quality of their paper.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

I had the exact same issues Lindsay. My cousin took Md's templates she sent me and used them as a guide for size and all for mine. I basically found a design I liked and he is copying it into photoshop for me. I think I am just going to go to FedEx office or somewhere and have them printed. I am hoping my cousin is done with the design this weekend so I can get going on it :-) I only have 4 months now so I feel very behind....

Panther - Do you have the patterns swatch pack or just the colors? I wish you could order a smaller sample of the patterns.

Lindsay, I just have the colors pack. It's the one that's $14 or $15 on the site. It was really helpful to have! I am definitely tired of waiting for the sale. I literally planned all of my paper and stationary around this sale.

How often do they have sales? I have a feeling I need to get everything in order if I decide to go with C&P so I can take advantage!

In the past, they've done a week long sale at the end of October/November that's 20% off the entire site. As far as I know, it's the only site-wide sale they do.
