Handfasting Ceremony

Hello!  I really want to have some sort of a non-pagan handfasting ceremony.  Has anyone had this?  Is this something that I can ask any nondenominational/interfaith officiant to perform? Thanks!

    We did this for our wedding. We had a Scottish ceremony at a Presbyterian church, and our pastor had no problems with it.
