Envelopes for the envelopes?

We have Signature Envelopes for our invitations. I'm not sure if these have to go into a plain envelope to send with postage and a name or they get mailed as is?

Do you mean mail as is - as in put the address on the black pocket envelopes and mail them out? If so - You should put them in the envelopes to protect them and the post office would probably have a difficult time processing them if because they need a hight contrast between the envelope and the address text.
