Morning, everyone!  My days are currently filled with preparing my presentation/poster for China... not much else beyond that!  I did go to see MIT's 100K competition yesterday, which is a competition for startup companies.  It was pretty impressive! And the winners were doing something beneficial for society as well, which was cool.

    Morning!

    I am beyond ready for this weekend. We might have to drive down to KY to get my best friend's Jeep so I can drive, which will stink since it's a lonnngg drive, but at least I can relax somewhat. Sitting at work in the chair all day is driving me crazy. Not very comfortable right now. It will be nice to see my best friend (and MOH) too.
    She had a major dilemma this week with her wedding (I'll do another post later today) so it's not been a good week for her and she could use some moral support right now.

    MD- I am beyond jealous of your trip. That's neat that you saw the MIT's 100K. I love some of the newer companies that are growing and basically shaking up  the old established corporate thinking. These companies that are socially and environmentally minded are forcing older companies to rethink their own impact on the world. It does give me some hope for the future. After being an external auditor and seeing all the shady stuff some companies get away with, it's a breathe of fresh air in a way. Do you remember the names of some companies that stood out to you?

    GM!  Well the concert was fun last night! Although i must say not as great as I was expecting, but he did play alot of his older songs which was great!

    Tonight I am leaving work a little early (yay!) to head to my parents house in Monroeville for a dress fitting! My mom's friend is doing my alterations, so she finished taking up the hem and now we are going to get the bustle set! So excited to put my dress on tonight :)

    md -  i forget - when do you leave again for China??

    sarilynn - hope you are able to find some comfort soon! how long of a drive is it to KY?

    db- About 5 hours to get to my old hometown, 6 hours to get to Louisville. Just talked to the best friend though, and it looks like it won't be ready until Tuesday so she may just drive it up for me and drive  my car back. I taught her how to drive a standard a few years ago :-)

    md- Definitely impressed by Sanergy. It good to see people from our generation really looking at making an impact in the world vs. just making money.
