4inch heels would kill me

I will be 29 when I get married and unfortunately something happened at some point from college to now where if I am in cute 4inch heels for more than an hour my feet are screaming. As much as I love a cute pair of heels I do not want my feet to be hurting when I'm on the dance floor.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a 2 in heel that is COMFORTABLE but still cute? I have been all over and and can't find much.

I have a similar problem and have had a really hard time finding the perfect 2" heel.  I just ordered a pair of Nina's from Zappos, and they're perfect.  Even though they're simple, I plan on affixing some sort of decoration (like a shoe clip or brooch).  Check out Zappos, 6pm, Nordstroms, DSW, etc.

Why not try a wedge? Not sure what color you want, but metallic is always a good choice, otherwise go to DSW (or Macys or wherever) and try some things on.

I LOVE wedges and they are definitely the most comfortable heel! I've never seen it with a wedding dress though and didn't know if it would be too clunky?

I agree with itzMS about the wedges. Some wedges can be clunky but there are some nice dressy ones as well (like the ones she linked are both cute and definitely not chunky). Also if your dress is long then most people will only see the tips of your toes, if that, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I would also go wedge, or there's nothing wrong with a flat. I personally think all under 3 inch heels are hideous. It's totally personal and I don't know why, they just irk me.

hahaha I so agree! I feel like all shoes under 3inches are "mom shoes". I think that is why I have been struggling with the balance.

I do like the wedges idea but the just are very..."delicate"
True the dress is long so what does it matter...

I love high heels but I'm already 5'9" and FI is not much taller than me...I don't want to tower over him!  I couldn't find any dressy flats I like, so I feel like these are a good compromise.

If your dress is long you can really wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Not many people will see your shoes anyways.

Have you considered a shoe that overall has a higher height but also has a platform?  You can get a 3" heel with a 1" platform, for example -- so you'd only have a 2" rise.

Yes I definitely want a platform for that reason and because it gives more support than without.

@southernbelle0915 those are cute but I'm surprised they were comfortable. It looks like there wasn't much support at the ball of your feet. Was it cushy?

I have a strappy sandal that might work and its 2 inches with about a half inch platform.

No matter what you end up with, the important thing is to break them in!  I wore 2 inch heels and should've broke them in more.  I made it most of the day and night, but by the the end of the reception, I was feeling it.  When I took them off, it was painful!

Love what was said about a wedge.  My wedding is outside in grass on a horse farm, and so I was more worried about stability than comfort.  But the fact that my shoes are comfy is an added bonus to not sinking into the grass.  All the shoe-candy designers--even Louboutin--make wedges, too.  Maybe not as many as stilettos, but they're out there.  I was able to find Gucci wedges with a horse bit over the toe that I'll wear after the wedding.  I doubt they'll be seen under my dress, but if they are, they make sense since it's a horse farm.  And a perk if you find wedges you like--this time of the year--they'll be on sale since summer's over.

Yeah, I think this will probably be the  key. Guess I'll be doing some housework in heels for awhile haha!

That's a good price range. I've found that the better made a shoe is, the more comfortable it is. Also, the price jump from $100 to $200 really opens you up to cute shoes. @SVC2014 I agree with PP that Nordstrom is probably a really good option. I know when I was there last week they had some nice evening/special occasion shoes on sale too...not sure if the sale is still going on. There were some cute Badgley Mischka shoes that definitely were bridal shoes.

I am starting to break my shoes in already, my wedding is in November. I have been practicing dancing with FI in our living room in them too LOL.

I also struggle with 4inch heels but I find that I'm a LOT more comfortable in dance shoes, and a lot of them come with 2.5inch heels or are customizable in terms of heel heights.
