Alaska or Bahamas?

Quite the opposite, right? We are both having a really hard time coming up with a decision about where we are going to HM. We have two children who will be staying with family while we go on our HM, so in that respect, I would love to do something that we can't really do with two little ones in tow--- like more adult friendly outdoorsy stuff.

On the other hand, a hot, relaxing beach with a spa sounds lovely too.

Help us decide!

What month is your wedding? Have you been to either destination before? Where are you from?

The time of year will make a huge difference.  To me the Bahamas is just a beach vacation but it will be relaxing.  Alaska will be more go, go, go.  It will also probably be a lot more expensive.

June through late August are probably the only "good" times to go to Alaska (according to most people's tastes), but Alaska is amazing! I have never been to the Bahamas, but I know Alaska has some mind-blowingly amazing scenery. I seriously get goosebumps just thinking about how gorgeous Denali Nat'l Park is (below is a photo from a trip I took there 2 yrs ago. That is not a cloud up there, that is a giant-ass mountain). OMG.

I went in mid Sep, however, and it was freezing and rainy, so go earlier than that!

Especially if you are ok camping some of the time, you can do Alaska for a very reasonable price. (You mentioned outdoorsy stuff, so I assume camping/backpacking might be an option for you, some of the nights?)
