Is anyone awake?

I am bored and having a hard time focusing this morning. :(

Re: Is anyone awake?

  • Awake is putting it strongly ... I can't focus on anything this morning, either. I'm mostly wondering what to get my kitty for her birthday. I won't be able to get her a new collar (her normal birthday gift) because the breakaway style I prefer isn't available in my town. She's glutted for toys. I might have spoiled her. She never gets wet food, so I might just get her a can of that as a treat. And I feel like a bad cat mama because I didn't remember it was her birthday today until last night after all the stores were closed.
  • If it makes you feel better, I can never remember my cats actual birthday. I just know it is in March. My mom, on the other hand, knows the exact day and sends my kitties gifts every year. lol

I usually do a toy during their birthday month, though. They have a bunch, but they don't play with them much anymore. A few of their favorites have gotten lost behind furniture, I'm sure.
  • Today is surprisingly slow for a Monday. I'm not feeling too well, I think my allergies are acting up.

I have to get my oil changed on my lunch break and tonight I'm making a new Tilapia recipe I found so I'm interested to see how it turns out.

I didn't work out at all this weekend so I feel like a bump on a log today too : (

what's the recipe?! I found one for this maple-crusted fish that I want to try, but I think it may be too sweet....

I didn't work out either. i did on Friday, and then I did a lot of shopping/walking on Saturday and I used that as an excuses to not work out the rest of the weekend because I was "sore"... which I was. But I could have managed lol
  • Awake and stuck at work. I don't want to do any work today and instead of doing what work I have, I'm reading fan fictions.
    what FF are you reading??

I am going to have to buckle down at some point, because I avoided a lot of things last week while a coworker was out and I was helping keep her project on track..... but now I need to catch up on my own stuff.

    I just dont want to!
  • @queenofhearts1728

    I'm making this recipe:

It seems pretty easy to make and I can do my Insanity work out while it's in the oven.

BTW I totally count shopping and walking around as a work out! We walked about what felt like 10 miles at the football game last weekend and I was like...yep that's my workout for the day.
  • @southernpeach89 that looks yummy! you will have to let us know how it turns out.

I'm glad someone else thinks shopping could be a workout ;) i mean, those bags can get heavy!
  • aliciaharrison i've never seen teen wolf, but I used to water supernatural when it first came on. I love those guys though...yum!!

I don't have cable/tv in general anymore, so i feel so behind on tv shows. I wind up watching reruns of older shows on streaming. I'll seek out a new show if someone tells me about it, but most of the time I have no idea whats on/whats good!!
  • i've seen some pictures of the actors on the show... definitely yummy!
  • I'm either allergic to my new perfume or my sinus allergies are kicking in.  My boss is having some horrible allergies today, so part of me is hoping that's what is affecting me too....

I already tossed out the perfume box so I don't think I can return it if i'm allergic. :(
  • I love all of you who go all out for your kitties' birthdays. I'm not sure I could tell you the month my childhood dog was born in, let alone her actual birthday. We did always get her something to "unwrap" for Christmas every year - mostly to keep her from chewing through everybody else's gifts, lol.

I am awake today but having major trouble focusing. I am super-sniffly, so I guess I've got some allergies happening. I'm going to peruse TK for a minute, then get down to business and review my notes from lecture today about postpartum care. Fun fun fun, happy happy happy.

aww, i love this! they'd never open it themselves, but they usually shove their faces into whatever we try to open until we toss the paper for them to play with.
  • We've always known our cats' birthdays. My childhood cat, who is still alive, has his birthday on November 15, Ellie-belle's birthday is September 9. We don't know BF's cat's birthday - he was a rescue cat found on the streets, but we were able to estimate his age from his growth spurt, and we know he has to have been born inside because he wouldn't have survived the winter. We assigned him a birthday of January 2.
