New South Florida Bride-to-Be...Help!

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on here so I am pretty nervous but hoping for feedback. I recently (Aug. 17, 2013) got engaged and my fiancé and I are planning a wedding for August 2014. However, it feels impossible to find the right venues in the South Florida area (Broward County and Boca Raton). Any ideas from other South Florida Brides?

    Hi there and congrats on your engagement! I'm in Chicago and know nothing about FL venues but I've heard local boards can be helpful in those areas. :-)

    Scinor15 Hi and Welcome and a big Congrats on your engagement... Im a So Fla bride as well but mostly dade county.. the best way to find out about more broward is looking on the South Florida Home page and those brides have tons of info... HTH

    Heeyyyy and welcome @scinor15 I use to be a South FL bride until I moved to Arkansas ((yea I know, huge difference))  Anywhoo, I was going to get married in Davie/Ft. Lauderdale area... so I may be able to help! =)

    Do you know what type of venue you are looking for??  I know I almost settled with The Signature Grand that is near Ft. Lauderdale.  One of our knotties who is now married, got married at the Signature Grand and it was gorgeous.   If you're looking for something outside though, maybe the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens?

    Thank you all for the wonderful advice. I was able to book Kings Point Grand Ballroom in Delray Beach. It allows outside catering and is a huge ballroom
