Rustic 1940's wedding theme

I'm breaking away from the more glamorous side of the 1940s and looking to the more rustic/country aspects of it. Tentatively we've picked a date in October. Does anyone have any website/book/blog sources or personal suggestions on ways to create a rustic Fall 1940s theme?

This is a pretty wedding. The stacks of suitcases and glass bottles would work well. You could also add a mismatched assortment of reproduction style fabrics for table linens. Sheets from goodwill with very small prints would work well.
