I should preface this by saying I have had a really rough couple of weeks at work, which are putting me on edge in general, but do any of you have guests pressuring you about certain parts of the wedding details? This specifically refers to Destination weddings, but I'll take a little support/venting from non-destination folks, too!

My fiance and I are paying for our wedding, and we're paying for 4 days and 3 nights at our destination resort and the airport transfers to help minimize costs for our family and friends. We are so excited about the process, but the one stumbling block we've hit is with the resort folks who are in charge of our room block contract. They have been very hard to get in touch with and their follow-up has been shoddy, so we've had to remind them about the changes we all agreed to, because the revisions to the contract never come back accurately, and it's sometimes a couple of weeks between responses. Please no advice on changing venue here - we're in for it now, and only 39 days until the big day

ANYWAY, while over 90% of our guests are only staying for the days we're paying for and not extending their stay, we've been getting a lot of people asking over and over and over again about the rooms... and despite our begging them to be patient and to understand that they will HAVE the room they want, and there will be no shortage of rooms, and please bear with us, yada yada yada, it's beginning to feel like an awful lot of pressure.
Part of me can understand the pressure from the folks who want to pay to upgrade and/or extend their stay, but I tell them the rates (which they know, so the price won't be a mystery) are locked in and that we think it's amazing they're so excited to come to the wedding, but can they just hold their credit card for a few more days while we try to finish ironing it out.... Ugh. My poor fiance is the one who's been dealing with the hotel side of the issues AND getting most of the grief from guests, and I feel bad, and we're both upset that the contract wasn't done back in March when we started it all, but there's nothing we can do about that...
Not to mention we still have 2 pending RSVPs ... despite sweet, encouraging voicemails and emails...
SORRY TO VENT! Just a little frustrated today.
THOUGHTS???
