Welcome tote

For the guests staying at our reserved hotel we are providing our them with welcome totes.

Do we need to provide welcomes totes for those that do not staying there? We are having a destination wedding and have provided everyone with 12 months advanced notice and hotel information.

Re: Welcome tote

  • I might get my feelings hurt if I travelled for your wedding and was left off the welcome list because I happened to stay at a different hotel.  How crazy are the logistics of finding out where everybody is staying and how hard is it to get gifts to those other places?
  • I disagree. I don't think the bride needs to track down guests who may be at a variety of different hotels. If I was a guest who chose to make different arrangements, I wouldn't expect it.   if you're just talking a couiple of people and you have a bridesmaid or someone who will handle for you, it's a nice gesture, but above and beyond what's necesaary IMO. When I was married, lots of out of towners from college, etc. were staying with family or friends instead of the hotel where we blocked rooms. I don't think any of those people expected a welcome tote, etc.
  • I think what you are planning is just fine.
