True Life: I hate his bromance

You guys.  This isht is bananas.

Who has seen this?

Re: True Life: I hate his bromance

  • I didn't, but I have a sneaking suspicion that his "bromance" is really just a romance. Or maybe that's just how I'd want it to be, because we could really amp up the drama there.

  • I didn't watch this one, but the one before it. True Life: I'm too Beautiful.

    smh

Looking like Barbie really is enough, I guess.

  • I didn't see the beautiful one.

One guy lived with his girlfriend of 3 years and had been BFFs with a guy for 6 mo.  The guy spent the night once a week so they could work on a work project.  They shared a blanket on the couch.  They also considered buying a house and living together and the non-invited-already-living-with-him-GF was all, "I'm putting up a fight and moving in there if it's the last thing I do."  The bromance broke up, then the BF/GF broke up and now the bromance is back on.

  • The thing is...if this were women...how would people view it?

    just curious
  • I think that anyone in a serious relationship who has a partner who consistently chooses his/her friend over the partner in every aspect of life (work, home, play) needs a serious wake up call.

Honestly, I think it's weird for grown-ups who live together to have a regular houseguest.

And I wouldn't cuddle on the couch with my best friend.  I'd think it was just as weird if it were women.

  • If my live-in BF/GF started talking about purchasing a home and living with anyone else, sans me, I don't think I'd be a live-in GF anymore.   Isn't that pretty much break-up territory?

Some of this depends on relationships when it comes to cuddling and the like.  But regular cuddling, once a week with someone not involved in a physically and emotionally tied together relationship seems unlikely to me.  I cuddle with BFF when I physically see him, but we see each other maybe once every year or two now.

TWIST: WHAT IF YOUR BEST FRIEND WAS A DOG?

  • I suppose I didn't understand the whole on the couch thing, in entirety.  My friends and I share blankets...but not while spooning.  That could be the catch.
  • try it.  good luck and keep us posted!

  • I think I'll pass.  But only because I can't get an MTV show.
