Hi girls! Just wondering what you are giving your bridesmaids.  I have 4, and all of them have different tastes.  I want to give each of them a few things that specifically made me think of them, rather than give all 4 of them the same things.  I'm just wondering if anyone else is doing their gifts this way, and what they're thinking of giving?

Hey there! I'm doing a mix - a few of the same items (i.e. personalized tote bags, a handmade bracelet & a lil day of emergency kit) and then I'm also doing a specific item for each of my girls.  I have 6 in total, so I've been trying to also do a lot of DIY/homemade items for them not only to save some money but to also show my appreciation and how much they mean to me better rather than just buying something from the store.

Right now my plan is to get them all make-up bags with "maid of honor" and "bridesmaid" sewn into it. Then I was thinking of filling it with items. A necklace to wear day-of. Maybe a travel size bottle of my favorite lotion, or maybe some perfume. Something simple for them

Thansk for asking the question!  I'm looking for ideas myself.   I have 3 bridesmaids (no maid of honor).   I'd like to get them something that they is useful and personal as well.     I'll be watching this post for ideas!

They say to shop for your bridesmaids like its their birthday.  That being said I'm going to steer away from giving anything that references the wedding.  I was thinking tote bags (what new mom or teacher doesn't need one) filled with goodies that fit them (gift card for mani/pedi, nice bottle of wine, etc)

ETA: My other thought was just to pay for their hair and makeup.  I know that's technically not a gift but I rather have someone take care of that expense for me then to get a gift that I might not need.

you guys are awesome - FutureMrsN3312, I've heard the same thing....I'm trying to avoid jewelry, etc. that they could wear to the wedding because then it just feels like I turned one of the things I want them to wear into their gift, if that makes sense.....

I found super cute clutches on Etsy that I think I'm going to get for each of them, and then put some little things inside for each girl.  This is tough! I like the "emergency kit" idea though.

Also - for one of the weddings I was in a few years ago, the bride gave us all something like $30 towards the salon.  We could use it for our updo, or to get a pedicure or makeup (some of the girls did their own hair).  I thought that was nice because it got us all there together for girl time but then you could spend it however you wanted.

Great ideas!  I only have a MOH no other BMs or anything.  And I got her a custom pair of converse that she will also wear to the wedding.  I had something meaningful to her embroidered on the side that she will love as well.  But it was an expensive gift ($70!) however, I don't have any more attendants, so I'm okay spending that on her.  I'm sure I'll be getting or making her something else too along the way.

I have a MOH and literally 10 bridesmaids...don't know what I was thinking lol but I wanted to get them a really nice bracelet with a knot and write them all a letter personalized to how much each of them means to me..ending with "thanks for helping me tie the knot" tiffany's and david yurman both have beautiful ones but they are so damn expensive haha like would end up costing more than my florist after everything! soooo now im looking into knock off ones that are a little more affordable..we'll see

I have also considered reserving everyone a hotel room or renting a vacation home for all of the BMs and their +1s to stay in before/night of the wedding because most of them don't live near the wedding site.

I like the idea of getting everyone a few things that are the same and then also giving each girl something unique to her.  It's a good balance.  I'm buying clutch purses from Etsy for the day of and filling them with day of emergency kits (I love that others are doing this too), plus jewelry I got them for the wedding - Kate Spade Knot bracelets and earrings, also from Etsy -  and then something specific to each girl (still working on that).  I also found a vendor on Etsy that makes these custom wine labels - they're so cute and you can personalize them.  I'm going to buy each girl a bottle of her favorite wine and then put the labels on.

@Ark155 - which vendor on Etsy are you buying from?  I've been obsessing over the clutch purses for months now and I haven't decided which ones I want.  

@FutureMrsN3312,  I have heard the same thing - stay away from things referencing the wedding and focus more on what the individual girls would like.  

@sarahmarie409 - the Kate Spade knot bracelets I bought were $78 each on Zappos - free shipping too.  That's still a lot for 10 girls, but it might be less than Tiffany's.

I thought about getting bracelets or something with the "Thanks for helping us tie the knot" card as well.  I ended up making my own bracelets to give to them (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/305259680962239748/).  I did find these cute knot rings that I considered getting - they are only $31 or $35 depending if you get the single knot or double which might be more doable for 10 bridesmaids:

I only have a MOH (my sister) and I'm toying with the idea of getting each of us silk robes in a fun pattern or different colours for when we get our hair and makeup done, since she'll be staying with me at an inn the night before the wedding and we have a mobile beauty team coming to us. I'm also thinking that I'll get her a little initial necklace or something, too.

My bridesmaids will be in navy dresses and I thought this silk with the silver thread running through it would be gorgeous.  The girl who owns the shop said she could get me navy ribbon.  And hopefully my girls will be able to use them again....I ended up getting 5 and will just use one myself on the day of.

I like the wine idea too - my girls are all drinkers!! haha

I'm going with jewelry, but I'm going with personalized. I'm not demanding they wear this to the wedding either. I just look at it like this, I'm a woman, I like blingy stuff, and if it was me as a BM I would love jewelry. Not a big bag fan!lol.I'm buying my mother a gift also,and my dad.The necklaces each have their birthstones in them.
