How Did You & FI Meet:  We met through an mutual friend when we hanging out one night and my brother has abandoned me and out friend drove me home.
How Long Have You Been Together: Over 4 1/2 years!

Favorite weekend activities:  We like to look around yard sales, go to renaissance faires, haunted hayrides/ houses, pumpkin picking, hang out, and just do random activities.

Where Will You Honeymoon: we spent two weeks out in CA before the wedding but no official honeymoon. I'm hoping to get at least a short trip in this year yet that we can call our honeymoon

What Made You Pick Your Location: we visited grand Turk on our cruise and it had the most beautiful beaches. It also has a kid friendly resort which is important because my issue is young

How Did You & FI Meet: we have a mutual friend. He went to school with her and I worked with her. We met kept meeting eachothwr and when I returned hone from college we finally got together

What Made You Pick Your Location: So many reasons! Knew we wanted a small event and something non-local. Once determining that we wanted to have it at Christmas time we wanted to have a spectacular location. Finding that we could have our event in the winery/champagne cellar was very "us" (we are very into wine) without having to burden our group with cross-country travel (Napa area). The Biltmore has a lot of meaning to our families. It just all came together
Where Will You Honeymoon: We are planning a trip to South Africa but not until 2014
For How Long: TBD (10-14 days?)
How Did You & FI Meet: In grad school. I was taking a required course and he was taking the same course trying to determine if this was the program he wanted to enter. (Turns out our lives had crossed paths several times in previous years but we had never officially met until then)
How Long Have You Been Together: Our first date was October 16, 2004 but we didn't become exclusive until the following summer. So yeah, a long time!

Wedding Colors; no real "colors", ivory and ?? (we're pulling in copper/brown and then cranberries/branches within some of the decor since the space is rustic, stone, wrought iron, etc)

Favorite weekend activities: traveling, spending time with our dogs, running, sports (especially college football) and we're quasi-foodies so I guess cooking and/or trying new restaurants

Favorite weekend activities:we work our butts off during the week (over 40 hours) and travel a lot, so we like to stay low key on the weekends we're in town. We'll hit the gym, do some nice dinners out, but for the most part, we just keep to ourselves so we can decompress.

I have a question for everyone:  What's been the most difficult part about planning your wedding away from home?  My fiance's family and friends are pretty much all here, but mine are back in the States, so being able to get them here and involved has been a huge challenge.

@morethanafeelin the most difficult part: Not knowing who is really going to make it. It's difficult to plan group activities when you don't have any idea what the final number is going to be. I keep getting requests from planners to give them a ballpark, and I tell them 30-70. That's a pretty big ballpark!

How Did You & FI Meet: We met in Lagos, Portugal! I was on a working holiday in the UK and holidaying in Europe, and he was travelling Europe for a few months. We hung out for about 2 days in Portugal, then met up once more in London then spent almost 2 years apart!

How Long Have You Been Together: Officially 3 years, knew we wanted to be together for about a year before that but were living in different countries... Thank god for Skype!
