How to tie a bow... without the bow!

I'm a BM in a wedding next weekend. We are wearing a grey dress and the bride is making us colored sashes to match the wedding colors. The one thing... the bride HATES bows. So we're on the hunt for ways to tie a sash without a bow and the ends tucked in. I've done some searching on how to tie the sash without a bow but I'm struggling to find anything. Anyone have ideas??

Why not go to a craft store, get some clear snaps (or, hell, even velcro), sew them on and snap/velcro closed around your waist.

Are you only tucking the ends in because she doesn't want the bow? If you don't mind them hanging you could always tie it like a necktie.

A seamstress can sew it right into the dress so it meets where the dress closes.  That is what they suggested for my wedding dress that comes with a belt, although I kind of like the way the bow looks so I haven't decided yet what I will do.
