Question for the winter brides!

I'm looking for something to wear over my dress, assuming it will be freezing on Feb. 8th.  Need a shawl/wrap/bolero kind of thing but with some warmth, however I REALLY don't want to do fur/faux fur....suggestions? Anyone find anything similar?

Re: Question for the winter brides!

  • I'm having the same issue myself. Our wedding is March 15th so the weather could either be freezing or comfortable. I, too, don't want to wear fur/faux fur as it will clash with my dress. I'm thinking a shaul or wrap that is either hand crouched/knitted.

Need 8 adults to make minimum.  Eek.
  • What's your budget?  Could you do a cashmere cape?
  • My  mother actually hand knit a very soft wrap for me. It has pearl edging and satin ribbon to tie it. She gave it to me at my shower and everyone 'ooohed' and 'aaaahed' and some even teared up.

Do you know anyone who knits?
