2 words: Cake Tasting

I am a dessert/sweets nut-job.  FI did most of the work on the menu, but the dessert bar is my baby :-)

Today, we are having our first, in what I hope are many, cake tastings.  Yum.

Anyone else doing a dessert bar? What are your ideas?

We are having a Viennese room after dinner including cake.  I am a huge desert person.  Can't wait. I forget what is in it.  It include several cakes, cookies, an ice cream bar, mini deserts like flan and a some desert a flambe.

Sounds wonderful. Ours will be semi-DIY, with different bakeries/venders supplying the goodies, so lots of tastings in my future :-)

We're doing a candy bar, but our cake(s) we're going to make and do ourselves. They will all be round and different flavors of cake and icing combinations, with one cake in the middle a little bigger with a cake topper
