Wedding Invitations & Paper

Does this look okay?

After reading through some posts about invitation wording and etiquette, I am now paranoid about my wording and overall look of my invitations. I've blanked out the identifying info, but please tell me if I should change anything about these. I am hoping to print them tomorrow.

Re: Does this look okay?

  • Thanks! I actually had half-past, but then I saw a really long debate on here about half after and half past. I might change it back to half past, because I like how it sounds better.

The invites are white with a silver and grey flourish (? - I guess that what you call it) in the bottom left corner. They are bi-fold pockets and the outside of the bifold is also white with the silver/grey flourish. They have a grey ribbon tied around it that has a tag with our names on it. The outer envelopes are silver.
  • I've never heard what GinaMelody said about "half after".  If you google image "wedding invitations" you can see a crapton of examples and they all say "half past".  Please, change it back to half past.
  • Actually, half after is correct - not half past or four-thirty - and you don't need "in the afternoon". Obviously it's not at 4:30 in the morning. :) See Emily Post's recommendations:

IMO it's a victimless crime to put "half past", but it's not technically correct. Anyway, otherwise I think these look good. Generally, you wouldn't put the address of the venue. If people need the address and/or directions, you'd include it in an informational insert.
