Re: Best All Inclusive Honeymoons?!

  • What is your budget? Also, there is a good post similar to this one down a little ways on the page. For some reason, I can't copy the link from my phone. Anyway, there is some good info in there.

  • We HMed at Secrets Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya and had a great time
  • Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun is amazing-- the staff is fabulous-- and you couldn't possibly be bored :)  The beach at Maroma is much prettier but the staff doesn't even compare to Silversands :)
  • If you want luxury I would highly recommend any of the Grand Velas properties - amazing food, resorts, and service. The Zoetry brand is the higher-end "Secrets" hotel as well!
  • My fiance and I stayed at Bahia Principe Sian Kaan in Riviera Maya, Mexico for our vacation this past summer. It was so wonderful. It's adults only so it was quiet and romantic. Almost everyone was a couple and people kept asking us if we were on our honeymoon. You also have access to their other hotels, which are very close. We are searching for places to go for our honeymoon now. We don't want to go back to Sian Kaan simply because we've already been there.
  • Live Aqua in Mexico was great. All inclusive and adults only.
  • We've been to Secrets resorts in Jamaica and in Mexico and loved each one. Secrets chain are adults only resorts and the food is amazing. Can't go wrong with any of their resorts in my opinion.

  • We went to a wedding at Secrets Maroma Beach and it was amazing!  I have never had better service or vacation, it was great.

The only downside is they do book in confrences occasionally and the larger confrences can take over the resort and be kind of loud.  If you want a quite romantic honeymoon just double check they don't have a conference in first.

  • My cousin got married/honeymooned at Sandals (or Beaches it's been a while so I can't remember which one exactly...sorry about that) but from what she's said and from what I've seen from the pictures it was beautiful and they loved every second of it.

  • Hi! My mom is a travel agent who specializes in Caribbean so she's been on business trips to basically every resort there is. She is sending me to her favorite one, and where she sent my brother for his. It's called Swept Away in Negril, it's owned by Couples Resorts. Couples has a few resorts in Jamaica but she says this one is the best because it has it's own private 7 mile beach! Also, the resorts in Mexico include food and drink but that's it....these ones in Jamaica also include water skiing, sunset catamaran cruises, golf, activities!! Can't beat that! Her number two choice is Sandals Whitehouse on the southern side of Jamaica.

Trust me- spend a little more to be in a truely luxurious place...I attended a destination wedding a ho-hum middle of the ground resort in Cancun last year and the place was nothing special at all. I was disappointed.

Also- see a travel agent! They will be able to get you better deals than booking on your own and my mom got us like a honeymoon package that comes with free massages. You don't pay an agent, they get commission kick from the hotel.
