Beach Venue Help!

Hi all! I've just started my venue search and am looking for some good beach locales in NJ. I've looked at a few online and will be visiting soon (Stateroom in LBI, Bonnet Island, The Mill at Spring Lake), but I'm looking for some more options. I haven't really found one that has a real beachy feel and isn't older or stuffy. Any one have some ideas? Much appreciated :):):)

And PS - I've also looked at several rustic/farm/barn venues (trying to decide which route I want to go) - if anyone has any suggestions on that front that'd be great!

Thanks!!

Re: Beach Venue Help!

  • The Ocean Place in Long Branch

    The Avenue in Long Branch

    The Pier in Belmar

     The Breakers in Spring Lake

The Bath & Tennis Club in Spring Lake

    Clarks Landing in Pt Pleasant

Any of the Atlantic City Casinos

  • Awesome thank you! I will def check them out!
  • I loved McCloone's in Long Branch
  • i recently went to a wedding at the mill and i would not recommend it. while it was very pretty outside, the food was sub-par at best~
  • Clarks Landing!!!  I can't say enough wonderful things about them.

  • Windows on the Water in Sea Bright,NJ- reception is on the beach, and ballroom overlooks the beach.

  • I booked Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant. Fell in love the moment I walked in and the people there are great!

  • just booked clarks landing!! was the first place i looked and fell in love immediatly i looked at like 8 other places after and they did not even compare. the mill was really nice too but i just felt it had no beach feel to it whatsoever
  • My future MIL re-married last year and had her ceremony at Allaire State Park followed by the reception at The Breakers in Spring Lake... we were in the smaller room there, and it was overly packed, and a walk down the hall from the bar..... I'm sure if you went with the larger room it'd be much more accommodating (unless your wedding is less than 50-60 people as hers was). Good luck!

  • We wanted a beach wedding and had gone to see Waterview & Riverview Pavilion in Belmar. They were priced alright, but didn't include much with the pricing.  Not to mention they can do up to 2 weddings at a time, one in each building, and with a shared parking lot, we didn't like that too much.

While both locations were beautiful and over looked the Belmar Marina/Shark River, we weren't too enthused with the with fact that we would have to have transportation from the ceremony on the beach to the reception venue.  We also looked at the Breakers in Spring Lake, but decided that while that was also a beautiful location, a beach wedding just wasn't in our future.  We are having a church ceremony and ballroom reception more inland with a "beachy theme."

    Good luck.

Need 8 adults to make minimum.  Eek.
  • Clarks landing is by far one of the most amazing venues. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was the place we wanted our wedding.
  • I'm having my Oct 2014 wedding at McLoone's Pier House in Long Branch! The room was simple, yet breathtaking.
  • How about The Reeds? Beach, and modern (but not overly so!)

  • The reeds at shelter haven is awesome. My MOH had her reception at Clark's Landing and I highly recommend it. Everything was awesome!
  • If you want to go the rustic route, then I would suggest Cross Keys Inn in Andover, or the barn at Perona Farms.

Another option for a natural setting with their lake and tent is Windows on the Water in Frogbridge (not to be confused with Windows on the Water in Seabright).
