Venue help in central/north jersey

Newly engaged looking for  a venue for a smaller wedding. We are inviting about 110 people they say to expect about 20 percent to decline so something that we can guarantee at least 75 . Would like a Friday or Saturday night in the off season of January to April  2015. 130.00 with tax and tip is what we would like to pay.

The Views at Mt Fuji which is actually in Hillburn, NY - right over the NJ border. My sister got married there last month. She had about 90 people but didn't have any guarantee, so I think 75 would be fine. She was a Saturday evening in high season and paid about $121 including tax/ tip.

My fiance and I just finished looking at venues ourselves, there are plenty of places that would fit that bill, especially at that time of year. What kind of venue are you looking for? Are you going for a particular feel?

We're paying about 77/per head (incl. tax/gratuity) at The Windsor Ballroom at the Holiday Inn, East Windsor.  I'm not sure what their Friday/Sunday Minimum is, but I'm sure you can negotiate it.  The Saturday evening minimum is 140.  I believe the afternoon is 120, but again, that can be negotiated.

Check out the Mill at Spring Lake Heights.  They are below your budget.  We booked with them 2 monts ago and are expecting around 100-125 people.  Lots of windows in the ballroom...but very simple...garden outside...right on the lake.  Talk to Amy, she is amazing!  Good Luck in your search!
