What is your favorite part of planning?

I am so happy that you get to finally see your own wedding dream come true!!!  I bet the fun and creativity that you pour into your wedding will be well remembered by many.  

I just started planning.  So far, I am still in the "honeymoon" stage of planning.  J/K!!  I am actually enjoying planning my life with my soul mate.  All the personal touches to our wedding will be great memories for me and my FH; as well as everyone who attends.

Noticed you work in Mobile.  I'm right across the bay in Fairhope.  Nice to meet a fellow bride so close to home.

I am enjoying it all. I did not get to do the trying on dresses thing. I opted for ordering online, and dd not get to try it on first. I know most people say don't do this, but I got very lucky with a dress I love at a crazy low price. I also didn't do cake testing. We may do it later for the groom's cake, but the venue we picked provides the wedding cake. We just told them which style we like and what flavors for each tier.

If I had to pick a favorite thing, I think it's planing the music and decorations.

The big things are somewhat overwhelming, but the little stuff has been fun- the little touches have been really "us". Though daunting, I think I'll enjoy making my own invitations and flowers- those are two details I didn't care a lot about but now that I'm making them I'll take so much more pride in them. Registering was pretty fun too.

So far, what I have enjoyed most is setting up the personal touches:

-asking a close friend to officiate and ensuring he has everything needed to get certified by the state

-deciding on a guest list that is inclusive of those with whom who we most want to share the day

-keeping the wedding small, casual and relaxed  

-discussing the making of my bridal bouquet with a friend who is making a fabric flower bouquet for me and my daughter (my only bridesmaid)

-seeing my kiddo in the dress she will wear:

Our favourite part was our planning trip to Hawaii.  Totally unnecessary, since we had a package, but we did get to meet the coordinator and taste some appies at the restaurant that we used.  But I'll take any old excuse to go to Hawaii.

I'm still in the early stages of planning so I have so far only visited venues (just booked the one we LOVED) , gone to expos and getting quotes for other vendors so right now where I am at is slightly stressful considering all of the expenses BUT my favorite moments thus far were when i tried on my wedding dress and just knew it was the one, imagining his face coming down the aisle and walking into the venue [we ended up later booking] and getting that OMG this is it... this is where i'm getting married moment
