How many names.

How many names on an outside envelop is too many? My mom's brother has a wife and three children. The problem is their last name has 11 letters. All his children are under 18.

We had a family with 3 kids, and wife had her maiden name.  Anyway, we address them as:

Wife MaidenLastname and Husband Lastname

Kid1 Lastname, Kid2 Lastname and Kid3 Lastname

Not sure how appropriate/formally correct this was, but we had a pretty informal wedding/invites and this got all the invited people on the envelope.

I would just list the kids on the second line as : John, Mary, and Susan ReallyLongLastName

Just list husband and wife on the outer ans husband, wife, and kids on the inner. Kids only go on the outer when you aren't using more than one envelope.

I'd do this.

We're not doing inner envelopes, so in case you aren't either, this would be a good solution.
