Bachelorette hostess gift?

I know it's customary to get a hostess gift for anyone hosting a shower/engagement party/etc, but does that include the bachelorette party?  I've only been to one before and it was years ago.  I'm wondering if I should get a gift for my maid of honor (who is hosting), or any other girls that attend.  Thanks!

I don't think it's customary at all. You don't have to give a gift for everything someone does for you. Just write her a thank you card for hosting. Or send her some flowers.

I'd err on the side of caution and get a small hostess gift for your MOH, but not for the girls who attend.

I agree with this.  Is it nice if you do it?  Sure.  But it certainly isn't customary or required.

Hostess gifts are not customary in my area (this tends to be a regional and/or social circle tradition).

Nothing is wrong with just writing a heartfelt note of thanks!

In my circle, bachelorettes are pay your own way affairs. The MOH might coordinate, but she isn't really the hostess and doesn't get a gift.

I gave both of our bachelorette hostesses $50 gift cards in their ty cards. It was a weekend in Palm Springs though, so they spent a lot more money than just a dinner and drinks.

My 7 bridesmaids threw my shower, and I am not getting them "hostess" gifts but I did write thank you notes for not only the shower and bachelorette party, but for the gift they gave me.  For their bridal party gifts they are all getting very nice individual gifts.
