civil ceremony in courthouse?

I'm trying to figure out how this works... My fiance and I want to just get married. Without the ceremony. We just want to walk into a courthouse and walk out married... Can you do this? What's the process?

Sorry, but I'm no help. Try calling the court house and asking!

I mean, there's still a "ceremony" involved. But, I think you can basically just walk in. You still have vows and that whole shebang. And you'll need a witness or two, I believe.

My dad and stepmom did this a few years ago...I think that's how it worked. I would call a courthouse or magistrate like ros said, just to find out for sure.
