Everything turned out wonderfully. For those who read my post about H not telling his groomsmen what to wear, turn out I needn't have worried. They all had awesome GFs who ran out the morning of and got them matching ties. I was just going to go with what they had but the girls were like "oh hell no". Only H's brother was in a vest, but it was perfect since he was the MOH. And once they had their boutonnieres on, no one would have guessed.
The weather was perfect, everyone said that they loved the ceremony.I honestly couldn't have been happier with everything, and I had so little stress thanks to my bridesmaids, who were amazing and looked absolutely beautiful. We had a few no-shows but it was fine. We came out under on the open bar tab so we'll be getting money back, which is awesome. I did have a slight problem with the doughnuts we ordered instead of cake. I had ordered 10 dozen assorted but when we opened the boxes to set up at the venue we realized they gave us all plain glazed. It was too late to have them changed, and it wasn't a huge deal, but kind of annoying. I'll also be getting half my money back for those, so eh, whatever.
The only thing that sucked was H getting sick this morning. My aunt got us an awesome hotel room at Stone Mountain for the wedding night, and then we were going to spend the next two days camping and hiking in the park, but that didn't happen. H woke up this morning puking his brains out for hours. At first I figured he was just hungover, but now we're pretty sure he has a nasty stomach virus, which has been going around. So we ended up having to check out of the hotel and head home today
. It sucks, but I mostly feel bad that DH feels so terrible the day after our wedding. He still hasn't been able to hold down food, the poor guy. He keeps apologizing that we don't get our "honeymoon" but honestly, it is nice just to be home and stay in bed snuggling, watching movies all day. Also, it's given me a chance to get a jump on our TY cards, so it's all good.
I'm so so happy, just thought I'd share. Now going to make us some soup, hopefully my poor Husband (I love getting to say that!) can keep it down.
