Thursday Accountability

I woke up today thinking that it was Friday. It's not. 

I was pretty good yesterday overall. I even walked to my hair appointment (a mile from work) instead of taking the Path (in 3" booties!). 


B: Egg whites and cheddar on a skinny bagel from ABP
S: Oikos peach Greek yogurt
L: Salad (bacon, tomatoes, peppers, onions, haricot verts, vinaigrette)
S: Banana
D: I have chicken breast, salsa verde and a little chicken broth in the crockpot. I'll have that over romaine.

    L- Ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard sandwich
    D- Tacos (something simple before FI leaves tomorrow morning)

    E- Lots of pushups at crossfit today...I hate pushups! Yesterday though I got one of the highest scores for women so I'm pretty proud of myself and also sore.
  • B:  banana-cakes, 3 eggs, 1 slice bacon...  I was so hungry this morning!  HORMONES.
    L:  Mushroom-Herb Chicken, roasted potato chunks, sauteed brussels sprouts; apple
    S:  pear and hot tea; brownie (making them for my piano students tonight, from scratch!)
    D:  ST Shrimp Tostadas

    E:  deck of cards workout
  • I'm going to a Pure Barre class in 45 minutes.

  • I'm feeling under the weather, which seems to have affected my appetite? I dunno, but I'm still trying to eat enough and drink lots of water. 

    B: 2 eggs, english muffin, coffee
    S: almonds if I'm hungry
    L: Turkey and swiss on a sandwich thin, carrots, maybe an apple 
    S: yogurt or apple from lunch
    D: going to try and make 16-bean soup with some left over chicken added (beans are soaking now - how long do you usually soak your beans for?? The package says "overnight" but that isn't very specific). 

    goals: cook dinner. drink lots of water. Don't get full blown sick!
  • @cschiano Last time I made chili I used dried beans. We soaked them overnight and for a part of the day. They were still pretty firm when all was said and done...maybe we had too many beans though.

    B: Skinny Pumpkin Spice Latte, bagel and cream cheese, 10 pts

    L: Baked unhealthy pasta dish thing - prob 12 or 13 pts a serving

    D: If we stay home I'm making Grilled Chicken and Quinoa Soup, if we go out I don't know. Tonight's plans are weather permitting.

    S: Banana

    E: Nothing, it's raining, I'm on my period and I feel absolutely miserable.

    I'm going to start participating on these because I need some accountability in my life! My goals are:
    -Drink around 2 L water per day
    -Get in a serving each of fruits and veggies every day
    -Limit the diet soda and chocolate - I am going to have to start with a really easy goal on this one (e.g., ONE soda and ONE chocolate item per day) and build on it
    -Do something physical at least once a week when it's a crazy week, 2-3 times a week when it's not busy or I'm on break

    Now for today.

    B: Special K red berries cereal with 2% milk, glass of cranberry juice
    S: Handful of strawberries
    L: PB&J on "healthy white," a handful of tortilla chips, and my Diet Coke for the day
    S: Two mini Kit-Kat bars
    D: Tilapia with garlic cheese sauce, side of roasted broccoli and red pepper --> These are from the blog that @southernpeach89 recommended. It is excellent!

    E: ...I hope vigorous house-cleaning counts, because that's all I'm gonna have time for

    W: I've had about 600 mL so far and continuing to work
