Reviews October 12, 2013 Part 1 (Pre-wedding Festivities)

Okay ladies and Vegasgroom!  Finally getting around to writing my reviews.  Just want to make sure that they are a good one as I have recieved lots of help from reading all of the previous ones.

West Jet: A

We flew West Jet down to Vegas.  My husband (feels so nice to say that!) had called ahead of time and was told that there was a closet on the plane that we could hang it in.  When we checked in they gave us a complimentary upgrade (which was so nice!).  Once we boarded the plane, we were told that there was no closet but we were able to put the dress on top of the overhead bin.  I wasn't to concerned about it getting wrinkled as I was getting it steamed once we arrived.  We flew Air Canada on the way home and they were not nearly as nice.

Caesars Palace Room: B+

The check in went really smooth and the front desk staff was really friendly.  We also recieved a Diamond Card for having our reception there which came in really handy because we got to bumped to the front of the cab lines.  It was convient to stay there as that is where our wedding was but I am not too sure I would stay there again.  Our room was okay (it was starting to look a little bit worn) and some of our lamps didn't work and we had to get maintence to keep unclogging the sink.  I was also really annoyed with the resort fees which was suppose to include free wifi which hardly worked.  Normally, I wouldn't really care about that while on holidays but we were expecting e-mails from vendors and family.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed staying there, loved hanging out at the pools but everything there is quite expensive (and they charge you for everything!) so we are both undecided if we are going to be repeat customers.

Fit For a Bride: A+

Deb has gotten lots of good reviews before and her services are well worth it.  I dropped my dress off at the Bell Desk when we arrived, she called me the minute that she picked it up and dropped it off and it looked great!

MAC Cosmetics: A+

So my friend Lori took me to get my makeup done at MAC before my bachlorette party.  I wouldn't recomend doing this for your wedding as they have the fit you in around how busy the store it, but I would recomend it before a night out on the town.  In order to get your makeup done you have to buy $50.00 worth of product.  It was lots of fun, my makeup looked great and by the end of the night, still looked like I had just walked out of the store.

Trevi (in the Forum Shops): A

We had a family dinner here with our parents and siblings.  Again, it was easy to organize, the service was great and everybody enjoyed the food.  It was also easy for our family to find.

Monster Mini Golf by Kiss: A+

So, this place is a Kissed themed mini golf course that is just across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  We had a Meet and Greet here which is probably not the most conventional location but I think is a great hidden gem!  Our guests had SO much fun and the staff were really great to work with.  We rented out a semi-private room for $150.00 (you could also have a private room for $300) and they had a bar set up for us.  Drinks were really cheap (for Vegas prices... $2.50 for a bottle of beer and $5.00 for a high ball).  It cost $7.00/person for an 18 hole mini golf course and they give a free T-shirt to the lowest score.  It was also great because we paid as people arrived so we didn't have to worry about people RSVPing and people could just show up if they felt like coming.  It was well worth every penny as we and our guests had lots of fun and it was great for having people mingle and meet our different guests.

  • Thanks ladies!  I would HIGHLY recomend the golf.  Depending on your budget, you wouldn't have to rent the private and semi-private rooms, but because there was 22 of us we were all starting and finishing at different times so it was nice to have somewhere to sit with our guests.  They also have options for adding on arcade cards to go with the golfing.  We were there at 7:00 pm until about 9:30 pm and it was really quiet - hardly any other people.  They have a souviner shop so I had also bought a few extra prizes for the best and worst golfers.  Even my parents enjoyed it!
  • That sounds great! Good to see the pre wedding events went well :-)

  • I love putt putt golf
  • My fiancé mentioned the Kiss Mini golf... I guess we'll have to do it! Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
  • Great reviews. We also will not be returning to Caesars.  We were not thrilled with anything about the hotel when we stayed there last year.
