I have to work tomorrow.  BOO!

After work, I'm going to a friend's baby shower.  YAY!  I'm not sure what else we have going on this weekend.  I'm sleeping in on Sunday, damn it.

I'm a lurker and once posted about a sombrero to a hat themed bridal shower.  But, it's early, I'm bored, and I'm not ready to address the work on my plate for today.

I'm actually really excited about this weekend!  This afternoon I have my second dress fitting.  This weekend will be my first bridal shower thrown by a dear, dear friend of my mom's (a friend of her's who has become a dear friend of mine, in fact).  After the shower, FI and I are hosting a housewarming party.  Quite a few people from our old town are driving in for it!  It makes us feel good to know we're missed.  The secret of the housewarming party:  it's going to be a grilled cheese party!  We're getting a few different kinds of breads, cheeses, meats, and fillings with three different grill stations.  I can't wait!

Then the sleeper of the already awesome weekend?  My Mom is getting a puppy on Sunday that she's "sharing" with me.  I want a dog so very badly, but FI is not quite on board yet (small yard, two cats, and he can be a party pooper).  Mom has wanted a dog for a while now, so it works perfectly!

Today we're getting a new dryer.  DH and I took ours apart and after trying a few things, couldn't diagnose.  It's not worth it to call someone to look at it, so we're getting a new one.

We need to buy pumpkins and get them carved this weekend.

Things have been too busy here and I haven't been working on the girls' costumes.  Now I'm scared that they won't be done for Boo at the Zoo next saturday so I'm going to buy costumes just in case.  Ugh.  It's fun for me to make them, but this year I was just too busy.  I'm still going to try to get them done.

M2 loves Sofia the First.  She calls her "My 'Fia"  I almost bought her the costume, but it was $20.  The Christmas elf is free.

I'm so cold (still)---I feel like I should wear a jacket on top of a sweater and thick ugly socks.  That would help.

H isn't working today....but he has appointments, and it's his Saturday---no idea where I'm going with this.

I'm hungry....again.

We only have a 1/2 day today and I'm very thankful for that.  I desperately need a break from everything, but that's not in the cards, so I'm looking forward to my half day.  Plus a yummy lunch on the bosses at a great Mexican restaurant here in town.

This weekend I have a lot of paperwork for my group and I'd like to see my parents.  Other than that, I think not too much else.

I'm ignoring my bedroom and bath still being torn apart and having a good weekend.  I actually have plans, which never happens, lol.  Saturday is an annual local craft fair thats usually really good, and then Sunday I have tickets with my DD's, DIL, Sis and BFF and granddaughters to see Peter Pan.

6 - you should buy her the costume, if she is anything like my girls have all been she will get lots of use out of it for dress up.  I keep all those costumes, actually have 15 years worth of halloween and dance rectial costumes and now my GDs love to play dress up.

I'm so glad for the weekend.  It's been a rough week.  And long.  And I'm tired.

Tonight: no plans.  DH will be off playing games, so I may rent a movie for after DD is in bed.  I'm thinking The Heat, This is the End or Great Gatsby.

Tomorrow: if I can get my butt out of bed early, I want to hit up the mall to look for some new jeans and some boots.  I give that a 20% chance of happening.  I am such a lazy person on Saturdays. Then in the afternoon it will be a chili making, pumpkin carving, football watching kind of day. Tigers game in the evening.

Sunday: pumpkin patch, nephew's "super bowl" final football game and a bday party for my aunt.

@6fsn - are you going to the pumpkin patch near Hebron?  Text me if you want to meet  up.   Also, get the girl the Princess Sofia dress on discount after Halloween so that she can play dress up.

I really liked the new Great Gatsby.  I didn't like This is the End.  I haven't seen The Heat yet.

I'm leaning towards Great Gatsby, because I love Baz Luhrman and I know DH will never watch it with me.

Hmmm... that might be a problem.  I struggle to stay awake past 9:30 these days.

It was about 2 1/2 hours.  I was interested the whole time, but I did find myself shifting restlessly at slower parts.

@Auntflo- we used to go to that one, but now we go near Delaware. 

It's only $18 on Amazon......

FI is feeling sick (poor luv). I'm getting chicken noodle soup, theraflu, and tea on my way home. He says he's been doing laundry and vaccuuming for me today (bless him) but I want him to rest this weeekend.

Weekend/long term plans.....  working a scarf for FBIL's GF for Christmas, and painting ornaments for each of FI's family members as FSMIL wants to start a tradition of handmade ornaments for each person starting this year. Oh, and designing and constructing a Venture Brothers Murder Bear full head mask for FI......

Football, foodshopping, further laundry, cleaning, exercise, kitty time, and thinking of gearing up for that novel writing thing in November. Plus wedding stuff.

 

Who wants to meet me on Sunday evening with a drink for me?

Tonight DH is going out with a guy from one of their other offices for happy hour. So it'll be just DS and me.

Tomorrow is something. Right now, the idea of just doing laundry exhausts me so who knows what will get done. I have a hair appointment as well.

Sunday is a toss up. Depends on how I feel. We need to put together the dresser and crib in the nursery, hang curtains, and I need to move the baby stuff in the loft into the nursery and get started organizing it.
