I want to thank the regs of this board (both current and past) for all of the consistently wonderful advice you give to brides who want to have a fun and well-hosted wedding but don't necessarily know how to get to that point. I was mostly a lurker over the past year, but I wanted to come out of hiding to tell you all that your effort here is truly appreciated.
Our wedding day turned out great. We were worried it was going to be too hot for our outdoor ceremony (Oct 5 in NJ, who would have thought?) but it ended up being warm with a lovely breeze. There were a few minor hiccups: dad forgot his pants and had to drive home- 30 mins away- an hour and a half before the ceremony (the poor guy was so stressed out) and the mic turned off right before H said his vows (once we realized it happened he said, "Can I say them again? Yeah I'm gonna do it again"- it was sweet!). Other than that the food was great, the music was great, and the photo booth was a big hit. Most importantly every butt had a seat and no one had to open their wallets!
