John Parker Band

OK, the John Parker Band sounds awesome, and I hear great things about them. We'd like to book a band for the reception, and they're definitely on our radar. Does anyone know if they're ridonculously expensive?

And FYI - I love this new forum format!

We just had Dreamscape Band (part of John Parker Bands) play at our wedding reception 2 weeks ago. They were AWESOME. The band played for 5 hours, and we had piano music for cocktail hour. I think the total cost was $4200 ($4K for the band and $200 for the pianist). I think they were worth every single cent. Working with John Parker was easy and stress free. I really don't think you can go wrong with them! Good luck!

Thanks Emily! If you don't mind my asking, how many people were in Dreamscape, and what kind of music did they play?

I don't mind at all! There were 8 people and they played EVERYTHING. Everything from Don't Stop Believing by Journey to Everything I Do by Bryan Adams to our bridal party dance song Natalie Merchants Kind & Generous. We did the Slovak Money Dance which they also played. They have a four or five page playlist with all kinds of stuff. You can see the list on their website. http://www.dreamscapeband.com I've had at least 2 or three people ask for their contact info for their upcoming weddings b/c they heard them at our wedding. I highly recommend them.
