Removing countdown from signature

My countdown ticker keeps displaying in my signature, even after I removed it. I tried replacing with something else but my old ticker still displays when I actually post. When I go back to try and edit it, my entire signature section is blank. Does it take time to replicate or something? Or am I doing something wrong?
