How was your weekend?

So it's Monday again. Boo on that. How was everyone's weekend though? Any wedding stuff knocked off your list?

I went to Maryland to see my mom this weekend. It was pretty good. We found my veil, jewelry, hair piece, and my mom's mother of the bride dress. I also starting working on invitation designs with my cousin. Just brainstorming right now. He's going to create the design by using either designs I like or drawing one. Then he will create the file in Adobe photoshop. I am super excited and I am glad my cousin can be a part of the wedding process.

 (Sorry about the duplicate post.  I will ask MD to delete mine)Happy Monday everyone!!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!  I had a faulous weekend....until last night on the phone with my FMIL & then FSIL. 

They were both whining about how hair/makeup starting so early.  I am really close to saying, if you don't want it done that early, schedule it yourself and I will see you at the church. Completely over trying to make everyone happy. Ugh!!! 

But, back to the good stuff.  DF and I had our bachelor/bachelorette weekends.  He went on a golf/cabin weekend and I hung with my girls.  On Friday, we just hung at my place, drank wine and ate pizza...and best of all, finished all of the wine charms for favors. Score.  Here is one of them....




On Saturday we all went to dinner at The Melting Pot.  It was FABULOUS!!!  Then went back to one of my BMs house and drank pina coladas, watched old episodes of Friends and laughed hysterically.  Pretty low key....perfect for me!

I have my first fitting tomorrow....woo-hoo!!!  Have a great Monday!! Sara- Good luck with the invites.  We used C&P for ours and loved everything about it!!!  Give me a call if you have any questions.

morning!  I had a pretty chill weekend - went to a scientific retreat Fri/Sat and then was pretty lazy otherwise.  Yesterday was reserved for football..but it ended up being pretty depressing to see the Steelers lose the way they did.  At least the Eagles had a good day!

sari - you just crossed under the 6 month mark - yay!  That's awesome you got all your accessories.  Let me know if you want my photoshop templates or if you guys have it figured out. 

janice- that bachelorette sounds perfect - fun and chill.  And I don't think you should try to make everyone happy with the hair/makeup thing.  Better to have people ready too early than to run late!  post dress fitting pics when you can!

J - that sounds like a really fun bach party weekend, and the charms look great.

This weekend I had my final dress fitting.  I didn't think to get a picture of the dress, but I did take a picture of the bustle.  I didn't have anybody with me, and I wanted to be able to show people the day of the wedding what it should look like.  And I wrote everything down step by step.



I also bought a rehearsal dinner dress!



I had my make up trial, but forgot to take a picture.  I also saw my programs (they have to be assembled next weekend) but I love them.  They are circular and exactly what I wanted.  I put together the week of timeline (so when everything is going to get done) and finalized the seating chart, since we got 6 more additions.

Janice- Sorry to hear about your FMIL and FSIL. I agree- you can't make everyone happy and it is YOUR wedding. They can do their own thing if they have a problem. And I probably will call you about the invites lol. Did you happen to order a color swatch of any kind from C&P?

Md- The steeler game was just depressing. I couldn't watch it all. And could you email me your templates? That would be wonderful, especially since we are using photoshop.

MRads- Love the rehearsal dinner dress! And your gown looks amazing! You are so close now :-) I would definitely post pics of the accessories if I had any, but alas we didn't take any and they all have to be made for me. The designer of the jewelry happened to be there that day, and he custom makes each piece and he is designing mine to correspond to my engagement ring :-) Veil is ordered.

Happy Monday!  I had a quite productive weekend.  On Saturday, I had a spa day with the girls and had a facial, which was fabulous and the relaxation was much needed!  I also found a pair of comfy shoes for the HM.  On Sunday, I found another pair of comfy shoes, finished about half of the escort cards, finished making half of the chocolate covered pretzels for favors, and bought some travel size toiletries.  My list is dwindling!!!

Sari - Sounds like you got a lot done as well! Time will fly for you from here on out!

Janice - The wine glass charms are cute and we actually went to the Melting Pot for my bachelorette party, too:) I actually suggested that my FMIL stay with DF on wedding day instead of meeting us at the hotel, so your FMIL/FSIL are already getting special treatment!

MD - I'm so jealous! I cannot wait to just sit at home and do NOTHING for an entire weekend:)

MRads - the bustle looks fabulous!  And I LOVE the RD dress! Where did you find that?  12 days to go!!!

Sari, that's really cool that you are having a designer do them!  Then you'll know they will be exactly what you want, and even better that it goes with your engagement ring!  I bet you can't wait to see it all together!

MRads- I know! It was sheer dumb luck that the designer was there that day for a trunk show. He picked it all out to match the dress then told me how he would tailor it. I was so excited. It's beautiful and I will be wearing it all again.
