Wedding Woes

This sucks, no donuts

Or doughnuts, whichever you prefer.

The managing partner has always brought donuts for the staff on Fridays.  Everyone came in today, skipping breakfast, b/c they enjoy the donuts.

He's not bringing them anymore.  Basically, all the bosses went on their retreat, some complaint had been issued about it not being healthy (I know who did that too, Diva) and he found out that a partner was taking the leftovers home (b/c none of the staff gorges themselves regularly on these things, so there's always leftovers) and that made him mad, so he's not bringing donuts anymore.

I WANT MY DONUT.  Now I'm hungry and our stupid food cart doesn't come around in the mornings anymore and I feel like this kid:

It's not shaping up to be a good Friday.

Re: This sucks, no donuts

  • That is crappy, because if it's almost "policy", people come to depend on it (sound familiar), so without proper notification----people will be angry.

I would be.  Don't mess with my food.
  • Oface, one of the ladies actually said, "He should've given us a week warning!"  That made me laugh, b/c I agreed.  :)

  • No kidding.  So either you could bring your own lunch, or take up a collection for new donuts.

    Seriously, pastries are no joke.
  • were they Dunkin? yes, it makes a difference.
  • An this is why when I worked in an office, I always kept some packets of oatmeal in my desk. One place I worked had a hose east office manager who would descend like a hawk on that sort of stuff and help herself to like 5 donuts before anyone else even had a chance to glance at them.

That is so rude.  I would be tempted to put laxatives in that ish, just to prove that being a glutton serves no one.  *grrrrowl*

  • Angie. Angie was the worst and she had this voice that was nails on a chalkboard. I worked later at an office that had a woman who sounded just like her and it would make me angry. This other woman had no knowledge of Angie, it was a different city 2 hours away, but it didn't matter.
  • @piratebarbie No they were from St. George Donut Shop, which is an awesome local doughnut shop.
  • I hate the drawer oatmeal leavings.  I have it in my desk, as JIC food but, really, when you want a doughnut, drawer oatmeal tastes like poverty.
