Re: I came back :)

  • I don't know what GCBK means, but Tide, you and your baby are so cute!
  • Now I must go back because I only vaguely remember this...I am positive I will be horrified.

Long story short: she's crazy, wants us all to like her, and made her FI get a second ring after proposing because the first one was "more of an 'every day' ring". <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

  • But why couldn't you be happy with the first ring your FI proposed with? Also, why didn't he know well enough to buy you a ring you like?
  • Toronto loves the cinnamon bun, and that's part of the problem. Here's the link to the article I mentioned: http://www.healthzone.ca/health/dietfitness/diet/article/821119--this-dish

The problem is that the buns contain 414 calories, 13g of fat, 752mg of salt (that's 12 shakes with the salt shaker...ekkk.) and 67g of carbs. IN ONE BUN.

I can't eat that. I'd have to run for three days to work it off.
  • Ah yes, "the first ring wasn't good enough so I made him buy me another one" poster.

Like Tide said, next time, don't AW your return and you can avoid future drama.
  • Are we talking about the same Ikea that sells furniture?
    image
  • Yes. Ikea sells so many wondrous things; beds, tables, meatballs, cinnamon buns, lamps, kitchens, hotdogs, futons, linens, ice cream...er...and not necessarily in that order. :D

  • Ok, then I like Toronto again. I agree that they are sinful. I'd have to run a lot too... or just walk around the whole store really fast a few times!

Ricks, yes, same store. They have a wonderful Swedish cafe in the stores where you can get meatballs, cake, cinnamon rolls, and lingonberry jam.

  • My lingonberry soda was lackluster this evening. :( Overall, I am frustrated with IKEA these days.
  • Ricks, there are only 2 in TX that I am aware of, but according to that article, there are 4 in the greater toronto area. I am insanely jealous of Toronto now, even though the newest one in Texas is only 20 minutes away.

  • Do all the IKEAs have the super cheap breakfast?  I think I've seen coupons for like $1.49 breakfast and coffee or something.

  • Yes, Toronto is saturated with LACK tables and POANG chairs. :) I really love it here.
  • Ooo I love Ikea's sweedish meatballs.  I am starving right now though so anything sounds good.  Welcome back GBCK girl with an everyday ring.

  • Welcome back, ? , I think?  Promise never to say "super-snark" again, OK?  The term we throw around  is "megabitch".

We're all a little frightened.  I'll be hiding under the couch.
  • wait! So IKEA sells food? not only food but crack like cinnamon rolls? I must find an IKEA!

My love for you grows more every day.
  • We have a massive Ikea here in Tampa, it takes like three hours to do the full walk through, I didn't realy like much that I found in there though, guess I'm not an Ikea person.

  • You're back! This is kind of weird. I don't really know what to say. But I really want to go to ikea now.

Shiit.  <span style="font-style:italic;">That's</span> how I gained so much weight in Scandinavia.  Stupid cinnamon buns.

We had a bakery near our dorm, and when we got home from the bars at 3:30AM, they would already be baking fresh buns and they'd give us the previous day's leftover buns for free.  God they were good.  I haven't had one since because I know they won't compare.    And now I won't have one because I don't want to die.
  • Forget two engagement rings, check out what my FI got me for wedding day jewelry, she loves me!
