am i the only knottie who doesn't live in raleigh or some other major city in NC?  i live in a tiny town that's 30 mins from everything.....i don't often find advice from people who live out in the country that aren't planning to have their wedding in a major city...am i the only one??  i wish i could find advice and reviews on vendors that are a little more local.

    Where are you located?
    I'm in Fuquay and our wedding was in the countryish part of Garner.

    What kind of vendors are you looking for?

    i live about 30 minutes from a big city as well. Makes it hard to get advice about vendors like hair and makeup. What are do you live near?

    I definitely live in a small city on the coast. Your best bet is to try to find and talk to people who live where you are getting married and see what they did or used as vendors. You may live close to where one of the girls on here lives, so don't hesitate to put your questions and whatnot out there :)

    i live in a place called Hollister, NC.  when i say it's out there....IT'S OUT THERE!!  i'm about 30 mins from rocky mount and roanoke rapids(the largest cities close to me which are not THAT large) about halfway between the two.  mapquest it if you don't believe when i say i'm not near anything.  jennie...that sounds like a good idea, getting recommendations from friends.  i'm just panicking and it's toooo early for that!! thanks ladies!

    No need to panic.  Try googling "your town wedding" or "close town wedding" or "nc county wedding" and see what comes up.  Probably more than you'd expect :)

    Hey! I am from Rocky Mount and have spent a lot of time 4 wheelering around Hollister so I know exactly what you are speaking of ;)  I live in Wilmington now and just got engaged! If you want any references from the Rocky Mount area... I can help you with that. What kind of vender are you looking for?

    l davis-i was looking i guess for rental places...for tables and linens and things like that.  i haven't decided on a location yet, but one of my options is off site which would require me bringing everything in.  i'm also going to check out a place locally that is inclusive and planning to also check out the gateway center, which would be all inclusive for the most part as well i think.   also thanks to pirategal (i'm also a pirategal myself!!) i will check those things out!
