A close friends sister has been doing my hair for a while now and I contacted her about doing mine and my BP's hair for the wedding. She was excited to do so and we discussed the price and details and everything was great. I attempted to contact her again to set up a hair trial, which we discussed in the original conversation that we would do so in May and we will set the specific date/time when it gets closer. Well when i contacted her to make the trial appointment, apparently she has moved about 4hrs away and gas is really expensive so she will "let me know" next time she is in the area to see her family. This just is NOT good enough for me. It is too wishy-washy and makes me think that 1. i wont get a chance to do a hair trial and 2. she might not even show up the day of! I explained this all to my mom(she is helping plan EVERYTHING and was to be getting her hair done as well) and lets just say, shes not happy. So she contacted a few people and recieved a few names to call and see if they are free/prices etc. Oddly enough the DAY i decided, what the heck this girl hasnt contacted me yet lets just set up a trial with the person my mom has contacted. The "friend" text messaged me saying she will be up next weekend and we can do the trial then. Except...I already have that day packed full of DIY projects with friends/mom/BP. I explained this too her and the response was "all we need is an hour."
Am i being too rash in not wanting to give her the opportunity? I have my trial on tuesday with another person who willing set up a time/date/price immediately upon contact. I am going to that trial but im debating on wether I should simply cut off the "friend" or hold off and see if the trial with the new person goes well. Then i feel kind of bad that I no long trust this girl to show up when she is supposed to be someone i could count on.
