Squeeeee Moments!

1. FI finally got the job offer! He's been dying to leave his job for a while now, and he got a new job yesterday!! He's so happy!!

3. Our new landlord called and we can get the keys TONIGHT!! YAY!! I am going over after work!!!

    That is basically the color of my kitchen! I love, love my yellow kitchen and get lots of compliments - good choice :)

    Two very, very good friends of mine and BFs got engaged this weekend (to each other). They have been dating for a little over 5 years. I am so happy for them and looking forward to helping her with planning. They are probably going to do a beach wedding. FUN!

    That paint color is super cute, what color were the cabinets again?

    Nothing soo squee worthy here. BF might be able to get a supervisor position here. Less travelling, more money, and benefits.
    I've been sort of training for a new position. There has been no official offer but the supervisor asked me if I'd be interested in the position once the girl left. She has been having me work with the girl every day this week and I really like what I'd be doing. It would be full time but could work around school, more $$, and benefits. BF's first thought- "We can get married then" squee.

    Narwhal- What did you decide on?

    But yeah, I'm SO excited about it.  Pear is my favorite shape but for some reason I thought there was no way I'd get one. So when BF texted me and he picked the perfect one and wanted my approval I almost peed my pants at work.

    Kat- I'm so happy for you and your FI.  That's so great that he could find another job.  I'm having the same problem right not, but there are no jobs for me.

    The paint color is lovely as well.  It reminds me of my daisy-themed bedroom when I was younger.  I painted all my furniture yellow.

    Narwhal - Is is wrong to post pics before you get it? Edit- okay I was really slow posting.  That sounds pretty!

    I have nothing to squee about.  I'm in a no squee phase.  But I'll squee for you guys!.  And now I've reached my quota of squee-usage for the year.

    Haha I don't want to post pics of the exact one because I don't really wanna jinx it.  But it's similar to this one.




    ETA: The prong settings are different and there is an enhancer to go with it (we haven't decided if we want to use it or not) so it's pretty different, actually.

    Congrats on BF's new job! I, too, love the color of the paint..there's so much you can do with it in terms of decorating!

    Narwhal - congrats on picking a ring! The pear shape is lovely. :)

    Not too much squee-worthy here, however I am beside myself with excitement that the Blackhawks are in the Stanley Cup Finals. I'm a huge hockey fan, it's a big part of my family (two of my brothers have played all their lives) and I'd love to see the Hawks bring the cup home!

    I like the paint color too it's similar to my front porch :)

    & ekath: That *is* squee worthy!

    I've been feeling like crap lately, so this is a good thread. I actually do have a 'squee' or two. My best friend from grad school is flying in from NYC in a few days!! It'll be her first slice of Caribbean life and I am so thrilled to get to introduce her. So many emotional reasons why spending time with her will be the boost I need right now.

    Then, at the end of her stay, I fly with her back to NYC. I never thought I'd miss it as much as I do, but it had really begun to feel like home. SOOOOO many things and people I love there.

    And 3rd, after 2 weeks in NYC, I spend a month with BF in the SFO bay! My job just approved all the travel arrangements and I *will* get to stay on after my training.
    Should be a lovely summer Cool

    We decided that we're going to wait at least until August.  I think it was supposed to be late July, but our plans were changed.  So now he's talking about when school's officially back in session.  And we'll be really busy once that happens, it'll be his last year, so we'll just have to see how life goes. ;)

    If we take Game 4 tomorrow night, we'll take the cup. That is my predication. If you go up 3 to 1 tomorrow night, I don't think we'll take it. 

    I admit that I am a bandwagon hockey fan. The only sport I watch and really follow is baseball. But, I certainly honor all of my Philly teams. Maybe you send me a pizza if my Fly Guys win and I'll send you a cheesestake if your Hawks win? Wink

    I've never been a Red Wings FAN, however, I acknowledge their talent and give props. They were a powerhouse for so many years and are still pretty darn good. I do think that their time to reign over all the NHL is prettymuch over (sorry, just my opinion!) and it's time to pass that on to another team (not necessarily the Hawks).

    With that said, GO HAWKS! :)

    My squee is that Mr. Man is moving more and more.  His kicks/punches have a lot more power.  It is much easier for DH to feel him now.  While we were laying on the couch last night, Mr. Man was moving all over the place.  DH could not stop smiling.    He would get this look every time that Mr. Man kicked his hand.

    Sounds like a deal! I'm kinda a bandwagon baseball fan. I didn't start watching it until a few years ago and didn't actually LIKE it until I went to a Cubs (yes, Cubs) game at Wrigley. I'll watch it if it's on TV, and I won't pass up going to a game...but honestly, baseball season doesn't start for me until hockey season is over, and it ends as soon as football season starts. It's just a sport to watch in the meantime for me.
