Venue for wedding service and reception?

Hi
I am looking for some help and ideas.I live in the uk and my fiance and I are looking to get married in NYC in sept 2012. We will hopefully have around 25 guest with us. I really have no idea where to start!!
I am thinking that a hotel would be nice as I could have all my guest staying under the same roof? I would love to here from anyone who knows of any nice places, nothing to formal. Somewhere with an outside would be a bonus, I am pretty much open to any suggestions! :)

    There's a site called intimateweddings.com.  They can tell you what places will accept such a small number.

    I have heard good things about restaurants like City Hall.
