Goooood morning

Anyone around today?

I'm waiting for FI to get off work and then we're supposed to go to friends house to go swimming but I don't think it's going to be as warm as it was supposed to be.

Re: Goooood morning

  • I am here.  Working today.  6 more hours.  I'm kind of hungry, but not sure what I want to eat.  I have a greek yogurt and a granola bar and an apple, or I could take my chances with vending machine fare.
  • My cats are driving me crazy. No matter what different things we try they always scratch at the carpet and pee on our crap.
  • I don't have cats so I have no advice for you.  I do have an incontinent dog so I'm familiar with cleaning up after animals.  She leaks in her sleep, so we let her out A LOT and the vet prescribes us a daily drug that helps too so we don't have issues more than maybe once a month or so.
  • Yeah. I'll figure something out. I guess we're the only ones on Loopy
  • Good morning.

Taking FI's daughter to the movies today. Other than that nothing really going on. Oh! Taking the FIL's to the park we are doing the ceremony at to do a test run through since FFIL is officiating. That should be fun.

I dated somebody once who had a cat that peed everywhere. They prescribed a med that's used for depression. Worked like a charm. Have you talked to your vet about it yet?

  • No I haven't. We're taking them both for check ups soon though.

What movie are you going to see? That sounds like fun!
  • Hop. I heard it was cute. We shall see.

  • That sounds like a nice day.  I have to do some cleaning around the house and go to the grocery store tonight when I'm done working.  Any menu suggestions for dinner this week?
  • Good morning!

My father's coming over today to give me some furniture since my parents bought a new set and are getting rid of theirs.  I'm just clearing up before he gets here.  H is having some friends over to dinner tonight so I have to run to the market to get groceries before then.  Other than that, I figure I'm going to have a pretty laid-back day.

  • Went to the grocemy store just now, rode my bike a bit, doing laundry and general slugdom around the house. :)
  • I need to put away laundry. That's the worst part.
  • I need to START laundry.  Gotta scrape together some quarters first.

  • Good morning ladies! We got back from our HM last night and have laundry to do. Back to work tomorrow.
  • I'm watching Just Like Heaven and I've decided I'm using Reese as my wedding hair inspiration.

  • Morning.

H and I had a nice dinner out last night after the hell of a week we had. H has to work 11pm-7am for the next three days, so that is going to suck. We are trying to decide what we are going to do between now and then. I will probably go to church at some point, even if H doesn't go with me.
  • hi.

I have really nothing going on but I wanted to share this, a girl I know put up a depressing status on facebook. her friend wrote on it and said; "It's called manifest destiny. If you think its gonna be bad, it most likely will be."

Wait no. thats not manifest destiny. Were you paying attention in school?

  • aleigh - that will be cute.  Are you going to wear a veil?

Missy - H always says he misses me in the bed when I work 3rd shift.  It's nice to be missed ;).
  • Megs - did you enjoy your HM?

    Rosie - d'oh.  friend fail?
  • we had "date night" last night and watched due date (pretty funny) and paranormal activity 2 (holy balls). I wish FI would get home from running with his friend soon. I want to go food shopping and visit with the parents before I start dinner.

  • Loopy - yeah, it is just going to be weird especially since we aren't in the comforts of our own place. We are thankful to have a place to stay, but we really don't have much privacy with 3 kids and 3 dogs. The youngest one came in our room/his room at 7am and told us it was time to get up. It was cute, but I wasn't ready to get up yet.
  • Thanks loopy, No veil. Probably a headband.
  • H and I need a weekend to just chill on the couch so bad. But we aren't going to have it for a long while.

Megs - can we see pics of the HM? I hope you had a great time.
  • Loopy- We did! Thank you.

Nope, but I guess we can't complain b/c we are saving a lot of money by staying here. A hotel would have cost us a small fortune. I will just be glad to be home in 2 weeks where I can have some sense or normalcy back in my life. H won't be with me, but I will do the best I can. At least I will have my family and sister.
  • Two weeks will be here before you know it.  How much of your stuff from your apartment can be saved?  Will your renters insurance help you cover what you can't save?
  • Good morning.  I really was hoping to sleep in today, but that obviously didn't happen.  I'll probably take a nap later.  I'm just watiing for H to get home now from his overnight duty.  We have nothing planned for today that i know of.  I'm sure he will want to be lazy on the couch all day since he was on the ship all day yesterday.

    That is right.

I think that everything will be okay. H still needs to check his computer to make sure it works, but other than that, I think we are going to cancel the claim. They told me if an adjuster came out and we claimed the couch and stuff, they would take it. I don't want that. I was able to move it out of the way in my frantic panic to get stuff unplugged and to higher ground that day. I think it can be cleaned and be just fine. My friends and family think cleaning it will do the trick. I really don't want to buy new furniture right now if we don't have to since we are trying to save for a house.

And we would have to pay our deductible first, so it really wouldn't be worth it after what we would have claimed. The apt office is not going to give us the deductible back and the insurance company told me they won't fight the apt complex for it. I guess it doesn't work like car or homeowner's insurance.
  • At least you didn't have too much damage.

Here are a couple of pictures:
