Wedding DJ

I'm looking for a good DJ service for our wedding in Dallas. We only have a $500 budget and have only found 2 people that will accomodate that budget...does anyone have any recommendations of affordable DJs. We don't want to go the ipod route. Also has anyone used DJ Mike Productions before...any reviews?

    We have a friend that started his own business a few years ago (He's a former Dallas Police Officer)  He's gotten really good... so much so that we are usuing hime for our grand function.  haha

    I've seen the high end DJ's and he is just as great... but without the price.

    We're going the ipod route but we have a friend who is MCing for us.

    I'm using Pat Homer (Dallas Mobile DJ ) and he is in your budget for 4 hours.  He has basic lights included  too if you want them.   He has great reviews on Gigmaster.com.    I don't know anyone who has used him personally but I really like him and he fits our style.   It also helps that he has done events at our venue several times before.

    I actually met Marshall at his day job at an optometrist office - he's a really nice guy, and has been a DJ on the side for years.  I'm not sure about his pricing, but check him out.
