I had to read The Handmaids Tale in HS and my friends and I loved the quote, "why don't you just put it in a bottle and I'll pour it in" (something like that anyway). We walked around thinking we were hilarious!

I can't recall the exact wording of it, but I know exactly the part you're talking about. There were definitely some giggle-out-loud parts (like that one) that I wasn't expecting in that book.

Hmm. I don't read much fiction unless it's for a class. I did reread The Poisonwood Bible not too long ago though. Good stuff.

I'm jumping on the non-whistling train. I am surprised at how many people have said this!

1. Is it raining where you are? It's not raining and typically in this area (Central California) it hasn't rained for several months, but this year has been uncharacteristically cool and rainy, just not today.

2. Last fiction book you read? I'm in the middle of one by Jodi Picoult... I'm drawing a blank right now because I have several of hers and the current one is at my FI's house. It's really good though!

3. What's one thing you can't do that nearly everyone else can? I can't say I've never had surgery. (Sorry, had to dig on this one.)

4. What's one thing you can do that nearly everyone else can't? I can do multiple-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in my head.
