recptions in buffalo ny area

I am new here so I have a TON of questions. First though, I am interested in finding out any info regarding The Beaver Island Clubhouse and any reviews on this. Also, I may be interested in looking at The Pearl Street Grill. My Fiance is a bit of a beer snob and I think these may be the best places to satisfy both of our tastes.  Any words of wisdom ladies? TY!Smile

We have our reception booked at Pearl Street for September and I couldn't be more excited. When I first saw they did receptions I thought a brewery would be a bit tacky, but their reception floors are beautiful.

They are having a bridal show at PS the end of Feb, that really allowed me to see how they do things there. Natalie is the banquet manager and she does an excellent job. I've gone to most all of the bridal shows since getting engaged to get ideas, and whenever vendors ask where our reception is they have the best things to say about Pearl Street. Everyone says how well organized and professional they are.

    I highly recommend them!

TY! That is really good to know. You know, I am big on intuition, and I know a lot of brides are using PSG. And my heart keeps going back to them even though I havent personally seen a lot of venues, as of yet.I am just in the very beginning stages. I wanted either something by the water (because I am originally from Cuba so I love the water) or in the city, as Ive always grown up in the city, Buffalo, NYC, Miami, etc. I love the city, and PSG always looks so beautiful from the thruway! I HAVE TO, HAVE TO go there! I may go for cocktails this week and get a feel for the place. But , like I said, my heart and brain keep going back to this venue! TY for solidifying my thoughts!

Does PSG have their own colored table linens?

I don't think they had colored table linens. I think it was white or ivory. I could be wrong though. I haven't done final details with them yet. I know they told me when I originally looked at the venue but I forgot!
And they're kind of close to the water for you! You can always do pictures there. I've heard good things about Harry's Harbour Grill and Tempelton Landing (formerly Shanghai Reds) as well, they are on the water. I think they are a bit pricey though.
