NWR- Cake Question

Today is my Fi's birthday... i didnt really plan anything (i know i'm bad lol) but last night i got this great idea that i'd go to Buffalo Wild Wings and buy him his FAVE cake - their chocolate fudge cake... problem is they don't really sell the whole cake and if i were to buy the whole thing i'd have to buy each piece at $5+ each! YIKES!!

So do you know of a cake that is similar.. i was thinking, what about the chcocolate costco cake? i've never had it but it looks similar, and costco cakes are delish...
are they even open today...

ETA- i guess it doesn't matter :( they are closed anyway...

Any other AWESOME super chocolatey cakes i can get last min because i'm a bad fi lol

My mom almost always gets my dad a Saunder's Bumpy Cake.  Deliciously chocolatey!  I think you can get them at the regular grocery store.

Hmmm, yeah I guess the fudgy part for a bumpy cake is the frosting, not so much the actual cake.

I think Kroger sells the old Bill Knapp's Chocolate cake.  It's delicious and I THINK it might be similar.

Also, give a bdubs store a call, they may be willing to cut you a deal on a whole cake if they have one.  FYI it does, however, come pre-cut with parchment between each slice.

Not sure if you're near a papa joes, westborn, or holiday mkt (royal oak area), but they have fabulous cakes that are all ultra ultra decadent :) My fav is this one at papa joes - chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, covered with dark chocolate ganache :)

i would say that if the bdubs cake is his fave maybe a slice or two would be the way to go - it is delicious and you can still put a candle in it. it seems like it would be more personal. also, they do free desserts for birthdays - however im not sure on their policy for take out but its worth a shot. oh and its super amazing if its warmed up
