It seems like most of the threads on this board lately have been rants about various things. With just a month left for a lot of ladies this is a really stressfull time! So... rant away! Get it off your chest, scream to the heavens... do what you want to do without fear of flames!

Things have actually been going really well for us wedding planning wise, but I went back to school this semester (graduated college in 2004 and haven't been in a classroom since) and I'm bother overwhelmed and underwhelmed by it. Some of my classes are so mind numbingly boring that I want to just toss in the towel and just give up. I also have some really strange people in my class including one guy who jumps and claps his hands at the end of each sentence he speaks. And this is in my speech class... it gets old after the 4th or 5th time.

My other two classes are extremely demanding and, while fun, require a lot of homework which is making me fall behind on my work and wedding projects and now I'm freaking out I won't get everything done before February 17th. It really made FI happy that I agreed to go back for another degree, but I wish I'd waited until next semester.

JCWhitey, I feel ya. I'm going back to school for a second degree as well. I graduated college in 2005 so It's been a while since I've been in a traditional classroom. Plus the semester starts a week after we get married and we will be on our HM the second week of classes. On top of that, I lost my Job last June and haven't been able to find a job. I'm worried that finding one so close to the wedding date will be hard to work around the wedding and the HM. So I'm thinking of just waiting till after those things. Plus we still haven't found a house and there aren't many rental options in our small own so it may be a cramped dated apartment for a few months until we find anything. I have moved so much in the past several years and I am SICK of it. I really am dreading packing and moving then packing and moving again. I just want somewhere where we can call home and set some roots down and start having a family. I'm not getting any younger and I feel like I am just too old to do all t his "starting" over stuff.

I am 100% sick and tired of making wedding planning decisions!

My wonderful FMIL is planning our rehearsal dinner, but she wants my input on every tiny detail and I really just don't have the mental energy to make decisions about plate colors at this point. I'm done.

I am sooooo over the entire process of planning and thinking about this wedding and would be sooooo happy if it was this weekend instead of 7 weeks away and FH and I could just be on our HM and done stressing already.

Also, I found out that there is a legitimate possibility of someone bringing their chihuahua in a purse to the wedding. I am going to smack the sh!t out of someone before this week is over!

I'm over work. I'm mentally so stressed out over everything it's insane - and most of it doesn't have to deal with wedding planning at all. I'm stressed over finances (I'm an Independant Contractor and pay my taxes and social security at the end of the year) and from what Turbo Tax is telling me right now - that out of the $20k I brought home, the IRS wants $8k of it! Seriously - you've got to be fing kidding me.
I'm just exhausted from all the stress.
Wedding wise - I'm over it now, but I was really really upset that no one in my wp (2 BMs) made any pre wedding party plans at all. I didn't get a shower/bach party. And frankly it kind of hurts. I've done all of this alone - aside from dress shopping. And frankly it stings when I see girls in Micheals/JoAnns with their moms looking at wedding DIY projects and stuff. I allowed myself my pitty party and just need to pull my big girl panties on tighter and deal with it. I'm just over doing it all alone - the RD, the Wedding, all of it.. has been on me. And it's annoying.

Blah - I wish we had just invited our parents, bought a pretty dress, and gone and eloped somewhere. I'm sick of this - none of this is anything like I hoped it would be. I just want to be married and over all of this. I want to go back to having my normal life.

</div><div>FI told me the other day that one of his GM needed help finding a room (they're all out of town) since the GM he was going to originally stay with told him he may be bringing a girl with him from NYC. Uh, excuse me. I did not give you a plus one and you didn't even ask FI if it was ok. Now you're just being rude to another GM. I straight up told FI that whoever this random hoe is, she is NOT invited to the wedding. The nerve of some people is astounding. To be fair, I gave plus ones to all BP members that had a signifcant other. This particular guy knows EVERYONE on FI's side, so it's not like he'll be hanging out by himself all night. AND he's in the WP so what the hell would this random biatch do all day while he's with FI and then IN the wedding??! </div><div>

I'm stuggling with my getting my daughters schools to follow her ADHD 504 plan. It a LEGAL document and they just pick and choose what they follow. I posted a rant on FB last night about it and my SIL-who teaches GIFTED kids, has a gifted child, was agifted child and is married to a gifted child (my brother...yeah, not the same genes)-messaged me that the reason my child is struggling is because I have anger management issues. WTF? She lives 3 hours away, lets her gifted child HIT HER so she doesn't stiffle her creativity, as NO CLUE what it's like to be a parent of a child with ADHD and it's all my fault. Just what I needed right now. I have a masters in counseling-a LOT of psych & soc classes-I just finished a graduate class on ADHD specization-but ADHD is causedby a parents anger? BTW: I have to yell occasionally to get my child's attention because she is ATTENTION DEFICIT, but not before I try several times other ways. She also accused me to grabbing my child's are too tightly. It's a restraint technique I learned at a professional development day at school. You don't even hold the kids arm so they can't move-her wrist moves freely! I'm beyond POed. I take DD to counseling. These are techiques that are approved and in NO WAY harm my child! Yeah...I'm going to harm her so her father can sue me for custody because I'm THAT stupid. Before you judge, spend a day in my shoes. I love my child. I'm trying to get her the help she deserves so she can overcome this-learn to live with it. That's for the help-family member, fellow mother & fellow educator-NOT! And she's a BM that has compained about her dress...to bad, so sad, you can not show up for all I care!

<div>You are sooooo not alone in this! I used to be a nanny for a little boy with autism and I heard this from his poor mom at least once a week. People just don't get it. Sometimes he'd have meltdowns in public places when I was with him and we'd get the dirtiest looks and one lady even came up and yelled at me and told me to control my child and stop abusing him (look-wise I easily could have been his mother). I wanted to slap that woman. CLEARLY he was reacting the only way this THREE YEAR old knew how to overstimulation and I was doing my best to prevent him from hurting himself by putting him in a hug hold... which btw hurts the hugger more than it hurts the child!</div><div>

I wish everyone I encountered wouldn't ask 'How is the wedding planning going?'. I know that's mean, but I really get tired of the standardized niceties that come along with the insane amount of shiit I need to accomplish. Then when I try to change the subject, I get 'Oh really? SO are you nervous and do you have everything taken care of?'

Ugh. NO I DON'T!! I'M ONLY ONE PERSON AND MY LIFE IS ALSO HAPPENING AROUND THIS EVENT! THANK YOU!

Oh lordy I am going to go rant about my FI's BM. First of all he was over here a couple weeks ago after he and FI went to a visitation. And as we all start talking every other work out of his mouth is either F this GD that and every other curse word you could imagine. Now I don't mine them from time to time but i CAN NOT deal with the use of GD. I just don't ever see where that is needed!!

Second he sends back his RSVP with 6, now I know him and his wife are coming. She has 3 children so you add them on and that is 5, so I want to know where this 6th person is coming from? FI won't ask him about it just thinks I am being nosey by wanting to know. I don't care about the number I just want to know if he added his Mom on his or if they are planning on bringing someone that wasn't invited.

I am so over wedding planning right now!!

Yikes looks like everyone has some thing or some one stressing them! Today was double the fun with stress! I posted my earlier rant about my BM dress and now my sister is starting her crap!

Long story short...we are not really close and we never have been. We just butt heads and get along the best we can. She is my MOH amd I was hers. My BFF has planned my bachelorette party along with ALL the BMs (and asked for my sister to help do it) and my sister has not done anything! She was whining to me today that she feels left out! Well darling, pick up the phone, text, or email my BM's! They want your input and help! Don't play the victim to me and make me feel bad like they are leaving you out. I know that is not the case! My sis is bad with returning phone calls, answering emails and just communicating in general. I really am sure it will all work out, it's just annoying!!!! AHHHH!

Its been a while since I've posted but this is so up my alley

I'm SO OVER IT! I though a small destination wedding would be easy. HA. I'm trying to get everything over to the coordinator who sends me emails - second notice - did you get the forms? Yes. And this involves menus, flowers, decorations, etc. I will get it back to you - give me some time to make a decision. Trying to find a DJ too ugh.My gift bags - not done. Hair/makeup? Need to find someone local to do trials so I can send pictures to the spa in Mexico.

Then there's the reception a month later that FI's parents are throwing that we didn't want to plan - but are. So I need to find linens for this thing. Plus they need some details. Guess what - you can wait in line because the actual wedding is more important.

Oh and work sucks. We are moving to a new building that I hate the new setup. Plus trying to keep a gym schedule and anything else that comes up daily? I cannot WAIT to be in a hammock, toes in the pool with a mojito in my hand.

End rant.

FI's sister is about to get engaged. Like, they are already planning the wedding, but saving up for the ring... Anyways, I like her BF well enough. They've been dating for a year and a half or so. BUT...apparently, his whole family has decided they are going to CRASH our wedding. WTF? I have never met them, they live in Ohio, and they are definitely not on the invite list, but they've told FSIL and BF that they are going to come. Like 7-8 of them.

Um, hell no!

Can I add that my freaking car has somethign wrong with it now. Sounds like something just snapped in two in my front end somewhere in the wheels. It sounds terribly expensive. All my extra money has been going to this wedding so my car may just have to wait. AHHHHHHHHH I had a melt down today and started bawling on FI. He still isn't quite sure how to react to my sudden outburts of emotions but he tries and I love him for it. I am so ready to quit spending all my money on this wedding and actually save some of it for problems like this. Not having a job isn't helping either. ok I'm done for now.
