Trash the dress!?!

I realllllllly want to do a trash the dress. Badly.

I think it would be so fun. I was contemplating selling my dress. But, I don't know. At most, we may get a couple hundred bucks, and I just don't know if it's worth the hassle of getting it cleaned and taking pictures, and all that. And then after seeing what Marissa went through trying to sell hers...

I've always wanted to do a TTD. I have contacted my photographer who did our E-pics to see if she's available. Although I LOVED our wedding photog, we had a BLAST shooting our E-pics with Cristina and I would love to hang out with her again. So I'm waiting to hear back and see if/when she's available.

In the meantime, do any of y'all have some suggestions on good places for a TTD session?? I was thinking we could have some fun with paint Tongue out.   But, I also want to get in some water somewhere, and being in Dallas we don't really have beaches! Maybe a lake?

I also want to have DH involved, because I just think that would make for some really fun, awesome photos!

Have any of you ladies done a TTD, or known anyone who has?

    I think the idea of a bride and groom session turned trash the dress is really neat!  It reminds me of a former knottie Lyndie's TTD session..hers was more mud centered but paint would be awesome too.  I will post the link to hers below.

    What if you got some paintball guns and played out by a lake.  It seems like I've seen that somewhere.   I will post it if I can find it. :)

    Courts is a photographer, so we are going to do several TTD sessions. I love to cook, so I plan on doing one in my parent's kitchen once it's finished being remodeled, and definitely one out in the woods. Not sure what else, we'll see what we come up with!

    We're dong this!  I'm doing this in place of the traditional Bridal pictures.  I figure it's the same thing but more artistic.... and James could be included in some.

    I'm at a loss for locations too.... unless we're able to get Colton (SixFourteen) down to James' parents cattle ranch in Houston... that would be cool.  I'm really unsure of what to do here in the DFW area.

    I am loving the idea of a TTD sesh...and your paintball idea is awesome!!! I really like that more and more people are incorporating DH in the shoot too, since I had thought about doing that when I first heard about this 'trend' (guess it's been around for about 4-5 years though). We would LOVE to go to Rangers Ballpark, run the bases & whatever else...too bad they probably wouldn't let me slide on their precious lawn!!!

    I considered it also.  I think it's a great idea.  But Ben loves my dress and I don't think I can get him to sit through another photo shoot so I doubt it will happen.  I really wanted to do it on our HM in Maui--but ugh, the logistics were so complicated and being at the end of all the wedding planning I just gave up.  *sigh*

    If it was just another photoshoot, not sure DH would be on board either. But, he is loving the thought of getting to shoot a paintball gun at me, so, he's down! haha.

    I would like to make it more of a fun day with DH getting my dress dirty, with a photographer just happening to be there, rather than a photoshoot. If that makes sense.

    I want to do a TTD too.  I have to say this one looks really fun...and they even had a videographer make a video of the session which was awesome!

    Holy cow! That's crazy!

    I am not sure I want to be all in my lingerie though, hahaha. But I have seen other photos where girls literally set their dresses on fire...it's an idea....

    I saw am amazinggg TTD where they went to a winery and incorporated smashing grapes etc and it was absolutely incredible looking, you might try one of the wineries in the area (grapevine, mckinney, etc)... If I can find the link I'll post it but I'm not sure i bookmarked it.  I like the paintball idea too, very original my FI would love that idea.

    So would you get DH to rent a tux or wear a suit? I wanted to do a bride/groom TTD after our honeymoon or before it. I am not doing bridals, either.

    I am doing some on October 1st with www.lyncca.com and she is taking me to some Waterfall area in about a hour/ hour and half away! I cant wait!!!!

    Def not! We are going to be playing with paint, and I don't want to get a rented tux all messed up with paint.

    DH will wear something that he doesn't mind throwing away. I'll probably buy him some cheap khaki pants and a cheap white button up shirt at Target or something like that. That way we can trash them after the session. No pun intended, there ;)
