Good morning ladies!

I'm up super early because of the dogs again.  I want to sleep in!

Yesterday they were in my yard playing and then they took off around the nieghbourhood.  That was lots of fun.  Idiot dogs.  I chased them for 30 min before they let me catch them.  They feed off each others' bad habits.  I could kill them.

They almost did it again this morning, but the bribe of breakfast eventually wore out.

Oh, and I had sushi for dinner.  I <3 sushi.

Re: Good morning ladies!

  • Good morning Habs.  I'm at work already.  Only 11 people in today so it should be a pretty easy day.  yesterday was kind of busy.
  • I am totally jealous of your sushi dinner :(

I always get up early on the weekends. I can't help it.

I have a lot of cleaning to do today and then it is off to a cowboy party for my uncles 70th birthday party. I have no idea what I will wear. I guess plaid and a pair of boots. Dunno.

  • Good Morning.  I just finished making breakfast and in a little bit will be getting ready to go to church.  I really don't want to go to the late service but MIL guilted us into going then so J could do children's church.  11:30-1:30 just takes up your whole Sunday.  I suspect none of my house projects will get done today.  :(
  • Sorry for my good morning p & r yesterday! It was non stop till I finally went to bed at 9pm. Finally got to sleep till 7am and it felt great. FI and his daughter are still in bed so I'm enjoying this alone time. Finally a day with nothing planned. Going to see how long I can stay in pajamas before they start making me drive them all over creation. Bought a $15 for $30 worth of food at my fav sushi/hibachi restaurant yesterday so as soon as that comes in we get to go. My stomach is growling just thinking of it. :)

  • Awe Stacks, I hate late service.  Our early is 9:15 - 10:15.  I love it.  Leaves the rest of the day free.

  • I haven't been to church since... um... I think my brother's wedding last July.
  • Good Morning!

I wanted to post a hello and introduce myself, (I've posted a few things on this board before), and I am getting married this May! Less than 5 weeks now.

I have been a lurker on several boards, and have found this one is the one that I like to follow the most!

This morning I am having some tea, and then making some cupcakes for a baby shower that I am attending this afternoon!

Me either. I just never seem to make it. FFIL is a pastor and does a service on Saturdays for one of the area nursing homes so we go to that quite often. I call them my adoptive grandparents. They always get so happy to see visitors. It's an alzheimer's place so they never remember us from week to week. It's like they make a new friend every Saturday. I love it.

  • We went to FI's great uncles memorial yesterday in a Church that was built in the 1800 s and sat in chairs that his great great grandfather made. Pretty cool. I cried like a baby and I never met the great uncle, I just know that a person that left such a strong legacy must have been an amazing man. The service also reaffirmed my desire to join a church so that FI and I can raise our children in a church.

  • Hey ladies....

... Hey, remember when I said that FI and I were going out drinking last night with his friends? ....

Basically, we went out because one of the friends had recently called off her engagement, and it was the first time she felt like going out, so we all went t support her. We went over to FI's best friend's house with everyone, and we all played a bunch of games together, including 2 drinking card games.

.... Fi threw up 4 times, from 1:30 until 3:30. I sat on the bathroom floor with him for hours, the poor little thing. I've NEVER seen him that drunk. And it was really weird, because I've seen him drink more than he did last night, and never get that sick!

So he's fast asleep beside me, and I only got about 5 hours of sleep. I wish I could sleep in :(
  • Morning..

I'm still so tired.  I had a great day yesterday, but man did it wear me out.  At least I do not have to work until 3:30pm.   After I take DH to work I'm going to take a nap.

  • Naps are good Lynda - I took one yesterday for 20 minutes when I got home from work.  It got me ready to get some stuff done around the house :).

Mixtape - poor FI.  Was he mixing liquor and beer or something that could have made him extra sick?  Take a nap later.  Sunday's are good for that.

Rosie - that's cool.  I've been in the church my parents got married in.  It was kind of a neat experience.
  • Loopy, he started off with liquor and coke, and then had half a beer at the bar we went to. It was so pathetic, when he had his head in the toilet, he kept mumbling...

"Liquor before beer... I should be in the clear...." Haha.

I think a nap is a fantastic idea today :) I have to go back home tonight at 7ish (boo), which sucks though. Oh well, only 2 more months of LDR!
  • Liquor before beer  - that is funny.  You should have recorded it :).  For posterity, of course.

YAY!  Are you so excited?  The only thing I've got to count down to is my next day off work - which is FRIDAY!!
  • Loopy  --  I LOVE naps.  I haven;t taken one in a while.  I've wanted to, just didn't get around to it. I'm hoping I get a chance to take one today.

  • I've been taking a lot more naps with all the shift changing I've been doing for work.
  • Good Morning!
My dog let me sleep in until 9:00 today! Yay!
I need to finish a paper for school today...yuck.

  • Morning.

I didn't sleep much or well last night. H didn't get home until 3:30 and was gone again by 8am. He hates his job so much. He is so exhauted right now. I feel so sorry for him.

I have to get moving b/c I have the enchiladas to finish for church tonight and I have to shower and get ready.
  • Morning!
Mixtape- Sorry about your H.  That's no fun even when the puking is brought on by drinking.  H (then FI) puked in my washing machine once.  I was furious but he cleaned it out really good and then bought me a new one a month or so later so I guess it all turns out.

I'm up and ready to go to class. The only thing keeping me sane is after today I'll only have 1 more class which equals 2 months until I have my Master's.  It's a good thing we're almost done or I'm not sure I would make it.

  • Loopy- I am SOOOO excited!! It's going to be fantastic when it's over! :)

barrel- IN your washing machine??? EW. I would have not been impressed, but then again, I guess I'd be happy with a new one too, haha!
  • Hi barrel! It still amazes me you have classes on Sunday's. Even when I was going to school to get my teaching certificate, they had classes on Saturday's, but they ususally ended by 1 or 2 pm. I guess that could have changed, but I just can't wait to find out in a few months when we move back.
  • Ya, he's lucky he made it to H after that.  It was not a fun morning once he realized what he had done.  Smile
  • Good morning.  I'm depressed over my wildcats losing by one point last night. :(

That sucks. I turned it off. I was really pulling for them, really I was. I don't hate UK. Sorry, Kate.

So its UConn and Butler for the National Championship? Who would have known? Wow.

Ya it makes for a long weekend. It's just because the University that I'm going to is actually in Massachusets so they fly professors out one weekend a month.
  • Yep.  And what is sad is that UK played so bad last night!  We couldn't hit a single 3 or a single free throw, which is not like us.  Our starters are all freshman except for Harrelson, so I think they were just so amped up and nervous they just couldn't focus.  Sad because UConn wasn't that good, and if we were on our game we would have killed them.  I know I sound like a sore loser right now, haha.  Go Butler I guess.

  • Hey Barrel - YAY for Masters'.  What is yours in again?  I puked inside/outside H's car about a month into our relationship.  He had to take the door apart to clean the inside of the door.  Knowing now how H feels about his vehicles, I think I'm lucky I made it to wife status LOL.

KY - so sorry bout your Cats!

Mixtape - are you going where he is once you're done with school?  Is that where  you're both from or will it be somewhere new for you?
