[QUOTE]Regarding sports, no matter where we live, my kids will be brain washed worshipping the Big Ten and ACC.  None of this ACC or Boston pro-sports crap (well specifically the Patriots, I don't mind the Red Sox.)

My kid will be Michigan brainwashed.  No question.

[QUOTE]Musu, I completely agree on how exciting it is discovering what my kids will be into.  FI really wants my oldest nephew to be into Cub Scouts, and gets frustrated when my nephew finds Cub Scouts to be boring.  I had to explain to him that perhaps Cub Scouts isn't my nephew's thing.  FI then got frustrated that my nephew doesn't seem to have a "thing."  I explained to him that I didn't have a "thing" until I was in jr high/high school.  My nephew will find what he's interested in, but he's 9 - they are fickle at that age.

Yeah, I feel like J will be frustrated if our future son(s?) isn't interested in the outdoors. He grew up doing all kinds of outdoors stuff w/ his dad and it bonded them really closely, so I think he really values that for his future children.

  • Thanks dude. Will do some reading, and it's nice having you here to talk to and bounce some thoughts off of. It means a lot. Good night.

THE HOKIES ARE TAKING YOU DOWN!! :D

And I corrected my original post.  I meant down with the SEC crap.
  • trying to start my seating chart. omg kill me now.

  • I can't wait to see what our kids will be like.  If H has off next week and I go out to visit, maybe we'll end up with a Christmas baby :).

But, I'm heading for bed.  This cough is lingering.  I hope a good night's sleep will kill it dead.  Fingers crossed anyway.  Good night all!

    psh.  Hokies.

MuSu - doing our seating chart was horrible.  H insisted on running it by our parents, and his parents wanted tons of changes, so I basically had to redo the whole thing.  I may or may not have yelled at H for an hour about "disrespecting my time and effort."

Oh man. I am not planning on running it by TOO many people. I think I have a pretty good idea of who meshes with who. J's family has divorces abound though, which makes things way more awkward and difficult. Plus all my close friends fit at one table, but then there is ONE couple that would not fit, so I don't know if I should split them into two table or try to squeeze the two at that table. Blargh.

  • Ha.  I'm sure it will all work out.  I was pretty amped up and dramatic about having to redo it at the time.  I either should have stuck to my guns and not run it by people (H and I did it together, so his family's arrangment - that his parents changed - was actually reasonable) or just accepted that there would be reworks.  Meh.

    Your wedding is so close!
  • Yeah, I know it will get figured out but ugh, it is very frustrating. I still have like 3 days left til the RSVP deadline too so I'm hoping that will clear up a few questions. We have about 71% of RSVPs so far. About 25 invites are still MIA. One of my BMs finally got hers in today, haha.
    image
  • H's sister sent in her RSVP after the deadline.  I got a laugh out of that, but didn't really care, since I knew she was coming.
  • Yeah there are still people that haven't responded who I am fairly confident are coming. I just want to get all this done and over with!
    image
  • Ok there is like a 2 year old getting spray tanned on this show. The kid is screaming bloody murder. Poor thing.

  • Does anyone watch the x factor?
  • I've watched on and off, Daff. Is it the final four?
    image
  • Alright, ladies.  I'm out to read Bossypants.  I love Tina Fey.

    Have a good night!
  • Yeah, I should probably just stop watching it, haha. I feel so weird only working on wedding stuff and feel like I should be studying or something.

  • That show scares me.

  • Which one, J? X factor or Toddlers&Tiaras? I've switched to Storage Wars<3.

    Just about.

My question is this - WHAT IS THE APPEAL OF CHRIS RENE? How has he gotten past round 2, let alone past Rachel Crow??

He is the white rapper right? I'm not a big fan of his either. The show's format is really weird to me. I think the themes have largely fallen flat and the song choices have kind of sucked all season. I like what I've heard of Josh Krajcik on youtube (he has songs that he's released on his own before) but I don't like what they make him sing on the show.

  • Toddlers and Tiaras.  I've only see clips they've shown on The Soup, but it scares me.

  • It is pretty frightening, J. Although at least I take some comfort in knowing that the producers seem to mostly do the show tongue in cheek, making it obvious how crazy these people are.
    image
  • However, I did love the little girl they showed on the Soup awhile ago who was going to buy a pig with her winnings.

  • Haha that is hilarious. At least she has goals!

  • She was really cute too.

We're going to be in the cities this weekend, and I want to go to IKEA but I don't want to go on a Saturday.

  • IKEA on any day is scary but a weekend is lethal.

    HI ANDY! <3

  • HI!!!

Ikea here isn't so bad until you get to the check out lane.  The one in Chicago was CRAZY.

MuSu - congrats on being 1/2 done with law school!!
